I don't remember folk objecting to Calderclown by reason of his accent. How he spoke was just who he was, a bullshitting namedropping thick fat incompetent cunt who's whole presence was objectionable to any reasonable man. My point was more about how people tend to believe suits and ties and give credibility to anyone who speaks "proper". The BBC are a disgrace of an organisation who peddle lies and have a huge influence on many. Their formula of a continuous succession of public school voices dressed in suits and ties is part of the strategy to suck in the stupid. The discerning viewer listens to what is being peddled and knows that substance is much more important than style.

I don't know enough about their histories to agree or disagree but it wouldn't surprise me if you're right. I suspect Stevie May is fucked. How can a player who was so good earlier this decade be so ineffective now? We know he suffered a serious injury in England. I would have expected McInnes to be able to unlock this question. After all, he was his manager back then and after TWO WHOLE YEARS he keeps on picking May and it's clearly not working. Can't he not see what's wrong? There aren't too many options. He's either become lazy in training (attitude, work ethic and mindset) or he's physically not able, almost like a bird with a broken wing. Whatever the reason for May's massive regression - he should be in his prime just now - it's either stubbornness on one hand to keep on picking him in the hope that he comes good or it is incompetence on the other, allowing a talent to go backwards or not being able to see that there's a big problem with him.

Never liked Salmond. Slippery cunt wi a slack jaw. His wife is so hideously ugly, it was inevitable he would be looking for extras. But fucked if I can think of ony cunt being so sad they would consent to him. Don't care if it's true or not but it would be more than tragic if it was orchestrated by Westminster. Then I would care. For all his many faults - trying to fuck over The Donald being his biggest error - the man was right on the biggest issues.

This is the most tragic post ever. Let me explain to you why. Before you react in a predictable fashion, stop and think here. I'm not investing my time and my money just to take the piss out of you. I'm doing this to try and help you. Whether you are growth-mindset enough to recognise this is beyond me. In fact, I can't be fucking arsed going any further. It's fucking tragic how you cunts equate suits and ties (and posh accents) to credibility. Just fuck off and die. You are why Scotland isn't independent and why Aberdeen voted Tory.

Yes just seen that on the Sky App. The bet365 stats must've been wrong.

Zero shots on or off target from AFC in the first half!
-
I just tuned into Leicester Liverpool after 50 minutes. George Galloway just tweeted this apparently - James Maddison, what a find. He's been superb the 20 minutes I've been watching. So exciting, so intelligent, so good.

I don't thing we have any material differences in our points of view Rico and sorry that I never knew you were in a prolonged debate/argument with another. I was misinterpreting your posts as being overly optimistic and divorced from reality. In the alternate universe that I inhabit - as it's certainly not the same one that Milne and McInnes exist in - I value keeping it simple. The simple truth is that McInnes is not a good enough manager to challenge for the title and I would like, at least once more in my lifetime, whether successful or otherwise for AFC to try and win the league.

Anyone else noticed a disturbing new trend? I wouldn't blame you if you hadn't encountered it but there's a couple of really uppity Hun cunts in a couple of pubs I frequent. Now that they're winning and Stevie G is the new messiah apparently, they've taken to history revisionism. Specifically they are in denial that their first love died and that this is a new company. I responded to one of the wiseguys slapping down a blank paper pad (he had been writing down the CL draw as it was happening) and saying "this is Aberdeen's European fixtures" by saying that this represented the total number of trophies won by Rangers or The Rangers or whatever the fuck it's called now. Jeez the two huns were touchy as fuck. They were quoting Lord Bannatyne or some such prick, like any judge in the land would make a pronouncement on a matter of fact. When a company is dissolved, it ceases to exist. I was reminded of the dead parrot sketch. Yesterday they were arguing that the holding company never went bust and some balloon last week was arguing that Celtic went bust during Fergus McCann's era. They are very sick bastards and whilst no one likes them, they do care. Arseholes to a man.

But why? What is the point of pulling wool over the eyes? Like Shinnie + x > better than y + z, what are you doing? We're heading for a major slump. Not only can you not see this, you argue against it EVERY TIME. We will end up in May exactly how you asked us to be. Optimistic spasticism that would've made Ian Dury proud. Block head.

Great signing. Excellent footballer.
-
Devlin and Ferguson are good footballers. They can be excellent in a great team. Unfortunately the majority of his signings are utter shite.
-
I don't think anyone is disputing that Shinnie in midfield is the best deployment of current personnel so it's not the "central question" at all. The key point is that he shouldn't be in there. That he is is because of terrible recruitment by the manager who has been unable to get good midfield players. The biggest problem with the balance of squad is an inept attacking threat. Rooney's departure has highlighted this further but with McGinn going backwards and Hayes gone, there's nothing to provide service and nothing to receive it. Not only are the holes now gaping, it's really getting to Shinnie. I know you didn't see the game at Easter Road but he had a shocker and it was mainly down to frustration. His temperament has always been to try his hardest but his performances are getting alarmingly worse and the last thing McInnes can afford is our only option in the middle of the park (for delivering consistently good performances) regressing like so many others have done under him.
-
You admit that his best position is LB. Not that you can not, as this is screamingly obvious. Since when does a team succeed playing footballers not in their strongest positions? You're right that he's the only one in the middle with heart, with guts, with determination. That he stands out for these qualities - essential for any winning formula - illustrates that the others don't have them. McInnes has failed to recruit a competent midfielder of requisite winner mentality. Or he has failed to instil the right mentality - which includes attitude and work ethic - to any midfielder needing help and encouragement to develop one. Unsurprisingly as the manager doesn't have one himself as he admitted, him saying he would've taken a point before the game at Easter Road. Whatever your argument is Rico, please don't ignore or mitigate the bigger issue. The extent of the manager's fuck ups is now adversely affecting Shinnie. That's the crime.

This "advice" is both good and bad. Yin and yang. It is good to walk the length of where Hadrian's wall used to be, still patent in parts. Shouting abuse however, to an audience of mostly English sheep, is stress-inducing. I suggest that you don't shout but you think instead. Think about how a nation like us cos teen over by cunts like them and how 300 years later, we still haven't had the balls to ditch the fuckers. Think about those people in the North East who returned Tories in the last election. Think about how the majority of Scots, infused with, and diluted by the guffies amongst us, voted against independence. Think about all the lies we've been told over the decades and centuries. Think about the proportion of war dead between the English, the Scots, the Anzacs, the Burmese, the West Indians, the Canadians and everybody else in the "commonwealth" and compare those numbers to the actual populations. Think about the injustices in "British history", one of which comes out in film soon with the event preceding Bloody Sunday. Think about the great Scotspeople who have made significant contributions to the world. Think about the Union Jack and how it's been hijacked by the huns. Think about Irvine Welsh's line, so brilliantly articulated by Ewen McGregor about how shite it is to be Scottish. And then think how even more shite it would have been to have grown up on that side of the wall.

Ok, points taken and one point taken. Was just in and boiling with rage. What infuriates me the most is that they were there to be beaten and had we not been handicapped by very poor management (once again), it would've been 3 points (plus a shocking referee error). Coming second doesn't get a trophy but we have no chance of being second come May, whatever happens in the January window as we will be too far behind by then. The only reason AFC got 2nd was how badly organised the rest of them were. That's not the case in 2018/19. McInnes continues to defy logic and common sense in his deployment of personnel and doesn't even set them out to win against the bigger teams. He's getting found out now and the one player who has the most heart, he's one of our own, is quite clearly getting more and more frustrated. If the goal is to win then it's not working. If the goal is to get a point at Easter Road against a team weakened by the loss of their best players then it did work. All depends on what the goal is and that is a mentality and ambition issue.

Just what I was told today by someone who should be in the know. Other than the suggestion that Milne would deal at £6m, I have no further info to pass on. Time will confirm or otherwise. I would be betting at even money that my source wasn't bullshitting.

McKenna is going to Celtic.
-
One of McInnes's fatal personality flaws is stubbornness. It's obvious to everyone that Considine's best position isn't LB. It is equally obvious that Shinnie is regressing in midfield, was never great in there anyway and his best position is LB. Consi was lost yesterday and GS is getting more and more frustrated. This fitting of square pegs into round holes will never work. He is trying to cover up his woeful recruitment of attacking options. When has he ever had an effective midfield balance? Christie got significantly worse under McInnes from an extremely positive start. McLean was allowed to be pedestrian under McInnes, only showing any suggestion of ability after he found some motivation after signing for Norwich in January. This season is dead already. McGinn isn't going to be the answer. His best is well in the past. GMS will have the odd flash but he's not man enough nor strong enough to be a consistent performer. Shinnie will never be a great midfield contributor despite his big heart. Ball is barely good enough and Gleeson is another journeyman so who's going to be the midfield dynamo to inspire and bring through the very promising young Ferguson?
-
There's the key piece of evidence right there. For judicial precedence I refer to the case of AFC getting a point in Glasgow almost 40 years ago, whereupon the new manager was disgusted at the players celebrating a draw. Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, you can have no other option to convict. From his own mouth, Mr McInnes has stated beyond all reasonable doubt that he is not of winner mentality and is therefore not a fit and proper person to manage the football club. On behalf of the North East of Scotland and of Dons fans everywhere, get rid of the cunt.
-
An utterly embarrassing performance. Lucky to get a point. It's not working.
-
I went to one when we were all 40 and it was a really great night. Wouldn't go to another though nor would I hear of any not being on Facebook etc. It was arranged through friends reunited back then. What was really interesting were how a couple of the girls turned out. A coonsil lassie - that's not being snobbish but it's the only way I can describe her - who I fancied (but she didn't want to know) turned into a right soor-faced hag. The last girl I got a kiss off turned into a stunning woman, well dressed and elegant. Dunno why I didn't pursue her after the end of school but no regrets. Must've been busy washing my hair.

If anyone can be arsed, I want to know how many games Ross and Wright have started in their 4/5 years at the club? Then we can ask that tyrannical wanker why he's already decided they're not good enough?
