  1. Not sure why Aberdeen is bothering and why they are spending money on this. Would much rather they ploughed it into a better transport infrastructure. Hull is a helluva place, just dreadful. However, I am not sure how this works, do they award it to places in need of investment? If not, would expect York and Plymouth to be favourites. Dundee probably has a better chance than Aberdeen seeing as they seem to be doing something about their city centre.
  2. Livingston have sacked Gareth Evans, and John Collins has resigned because of the boards decision to sack Evans!

  4. I see DonsTalk got a mention http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21611182
  5. No league titles to be stripped according to Chris McLaughlin on twitter.
  6. Feel a bit sorry for him, he's a decent manager and the fans should have done more to get behind him. He seems to have lost it a little though. He'll end up back in Spain, possibly Real Madrid. Perhaps Chelsea are going to lure Mourinho back.
  7. Tins of white paint spotted being delivered to Hampden this afternoon.
  8. IMHO my honest opinion the atmosphere at Hampden for a Scottish football game pisses all over the atmosphere for the oversized-peanut-hugging at Murrayfield from a huge height. There's no question Murrayfield is the better stadium, but Hampden can generate a cracking bounce.
  9. As both are out of contract in the summer, the board should be telling them now that their contracts won't be renewed, and the search started for the next manager who could either be appointed as soon as Brown and Knox's contracts are up. Season is over, I don't see the point in spending money sacking another management team.
  10. Best of luck to anyone trying a "chicken pie" tonight

  12. Great goal from Fallon, looked like we were all over them in the first half
  13. Good start, 1-0 up. We have two home games after this so a win would be good, so we can push on for second!
  14. The judge is dragging the arse out of this. EDIT: Bail granted.
  15. Ah c'mon to fuck, we can still get second!!!
  16. Apparently he wanted a new bathroom door, but his girlfriend was dead against it.
  17. Bail decision due at 12.30. I'll be surprised if he doesn't get bail, although I'm not sure he should get bail as the fundamental question still exists - why did he not check that it was his girlfriend in the bathroom before unloading his gun? Prosecution will need to up their game for the full trial.
  18. Prosecution have fallen to pieces. Still don't get how Oscar is supposed to have got past the bed and shot someone in the bathroom without checking it wasn't his girlfriend first!
  19. A tweet from the BBC's Douglas Fraser: "Hearts' ground, Tynecastle, may have to be sold as Ukio, its Lithuanian owner's bank, is wound up, local Bloomberg reporter tells @bbcgms"
  20. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/blog/2013/feb/20/oscar-pistorius-bail-hearing-day-two-live-coverage Prosecution seem to have their act together today.
  21. His statement also said "he got up and went to the balcony to close a sliding door and get a fan." and then "Feeling vulnerable without his prosthetic legs, he got his gun and shot through the door" He either went to the balcony unaided by his prosthetic legs, or his defence have made a mess of things with that statement.
  22. Not sure what to make of this story. Helluva tragedy if he has accidentally killed her but surely he would have noticed she wasn't in bed before firing shots into the bathroom door?
  23. I disagree. If you're both suggesting that the stadium is going to be on the side of Dyce near the station then Dyce will be gridlocked by those not taking the train, away fans etc... as there is no decent road infrastructure on that side of the airport. If the stadium goes on the airport side, nearer the link to the AWPR then that would be better for those travelling by car or bus, but it would be nowhere near the train station so nobody could get there by train. Dyce doesn't make sense IMHO.
  24. That's at the wrong side of Dyce, all the heavy traffic is at the airport side.
  25. Richard Briers RIP.
