  1. They were at the back that night though. Weren't Kerr and McDonald in midfield for the Sigma game and have continued to do next to nothing since? Young would put in a lot more effort in midfield than either of Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.
  2. I'd have Young and Duff in for Kerr and McDonald in an instant, that's how bad things are at the moment. And Fyvie could obviously play there as well.
  3. I see one of our previous transfer targets is a studio guest!
  4. Kilmarnock overtaking us in the league doesn't bear thinking about.
  5. Rumours of a disagreement between Langfield and McGhee over the current quality of goalkeeping coaching being provided. Pinch of salt required, obviously!
  6. What a sorry state of affairs we seem to be in.
  7. Far be it for me to suggest that it might be best for all parties...
  8. Another shocking result. Langfield was dropped for having a sore throat, but Radio Scotland were speculating that he was throwing his heart and soul into the half-time warm up and didn't look like anyone who might not be 100%.
  9. I'm beginning to wonder if McGhee has lost the dressing room, and the players are trying to get him sacked. We all know the team needs investment in order to compete in the top 4 of the SPL. We all know the team needs investment if we want to win a cup. But the team does not need investment in order to compete with the likes of Falkirk, Raith, Dundee and Sigma. No matter what the issues are at board level, there is something seriously wrong on the pitch with the management and/or players as we are getting turned over by teams with far less resources and quality. Something is going to have to give soon if this keeps up. We're getting dragged closer to a relegation battle.
  10. Man U humped 3-1 by Everton!
  11. While I agree with most of the above, from what I've seen (every home game) the tactics and formations are much the same as Calderwood's.
  12. Decent article and I'm glad he's pointing the finger more at Milne. Attendances were up last season though (a 4 year high if memory serves).
  13. Exactly BB. I personally do not blame the board for us getting knocked out of the Scottish Cup. Blame lies squarely with McGhee and the players. All this board stuff is the usual knee jerk shite we get after yet another humiliating cup exit (three in one season!!!). The larger problems exist no matter what's happening on the park. Anyone who doesn't realise this must have been living in cloud cuckoo land. Milne is both the villian and the saviour in all this, and sadly there is nobody out there who wants to come in and invest or take over. But nevermind, we're getting a nice shiney new Union Terrace Gardens thanks to Sir Ian Wood!
  14. I've never heard Milne say he expects a top three finish. At the 2008 AGM they said they budgeted for 5th place in the league, and we went on and finished 4th. No idea what the actual league targets for this season are though.
  15. Apaprently there's two rooms in the Olympia, either 5000 or 10000! No word as to whether this will lead to a tour.
  16. Oh fuck yes!!!! I'm so there, the greatest album of all time! EDIT: Ticket info: http://www.nme.com/news/primal-scream/49796
  17. I didn't even know Calderwood had an account on DonsTalk.
  18. Nope?
  19. Surely there was fuck all to applaud last night?
  20. Well I hope he was spat on (not because he deserved to be - nobody does), because if he wasn't then that means he's lied and it's all over the BBC and Sky Sports websites.
  21. As the alleged spit came from the main stand, presumably it included a half eaten boiled sweet?
  22. To be fair, it was always going to be tough for McGhee following a successful manager. Ian Porterfield was the same.
