There's an interview with Milne in today's EE. In it he backs Willie Miller and says he'll be staying on "for some time yet".
But there is a curious line in the middle of the article:
From the Scotsman:
Therefore we'll need to ship some players to make changes. Would be nice to see somebody take Ifil of our hands, but who else could we get rid of!?
I wouldn't have waited until signing Hartley before looking at full backs, if that's what you are suggesting he did.
It's his budget, up to him whether he signs strikers first then waits to see if he can afford a full back.
Horny fat wife in stockings & high heels puts on a cape. She bursts into the bedroom and shouts to her husband "Superpussy!!!"
He looks up and says "I'll have the soup!"
Incorrect. Doesn't matter, you are not grasping it. Or you're fishing.
It's up to the manager what he does with the money allocated to him. If he doesn't sign any full backs then that's his decision.
Indeed but for some of us its a sackable offence on its own no matter what else has gone on.
I plan on asking the board at the AGM why they think 9-0 is acceptable.
Sadly that's the nail on the head.
I refuse to believe there is not a better manager out there who could get more out of the current crop of players we have. But as the board have made their decision, McGhee will have some time to turn it around. I don't think that will start tomorrow though.
Can he be trusted with more money though? He should only be given it if he promises to get some full backs in.
And he can offload Ifil, terrible waste of money.
For anyone going to the Olympia gigs:
Doors 6:30pm.
Primal Scream on stage 7:30pm
Andrew Weatherall DJing after Primal Scream
Primal Scream playing a second set after Weatherall, believed to be a greatest hits set
Jesus wept.
If we get relegated then the board will get the blame for not acting decisively after the worst defeat in our history.
Really fucked off.
I'm assuming they realise crowds will continue to be very low for the forseeable future.
