Can't see it, the BBC is supposed to appeal to a broad range of interests, and they couldn't possibly ditch all sport.
F1 gets anything from 6M to 10M viewers, which is clearly in the BBC's remit of appealing to a greater audience.
I see Bernie is now saying the races that are not live on BBC will be shown "as live" on the BBC later in the day. Sounds like a climb down.
Exactly. It's a real shame.
Sky can help themselves to Eddie Jordan if they want but hopefully the BBC can keep the rest, especially Brundle!
EDIT: Brundle on Twitter: "BBC/Sky/F1 2012+. Found out last night, no idea how it will work yet I'm out of contract, will calmly work through options Not impressed"
At a time when people are not too keen in spending any money on anything to do with Murdoch, Sky Sports end up with the F1 coverage!
Viewing figures will plummet for the Sky-only races. Wonder if they will manage to keep the races ad free, which were a disaster for ITV.
Terrible stuff, all because the BBC have to cut costs.
He won't go.
Ed Miliband is being a bit of a cunt because most of the hacking scandal happened during Labour's watch, he should be treading a bit more carefully before something comes back to hit him.
I was curious to see if my old seat was available and might have gone for it, but if the club are not making it easy to purchase season tickets then what's the point!
Not a brilliant game but we played some decent stuff in spells, with some nice passing.. Pawlett looked particularly good in the first half but Milson was our best player.
Mackie missed an absolute sitter in the second half
A good night for him though and not a bad turn out.
Wonder when we'll next see a testimonial at Pittodrie? Could be a long time!
They need to sort the PA system out at Pittodrie. Inside the concourse it is far too loud, but in the stadium you can't make out what he's saying - I had no idea who was coming on as substitutes for either side!
