Boycotting games against the old firm is fine in principle, well away games is, home games is just silly.
However, Rangers will still have a gate of 50,000 and Celtic 60,000 so do you really think they will mind if we dont turn up? Our players will lose tha backing of the fans and that may force the club to sit up and take notice but its all a pipe dream i'm afraid.

This thread reminds me very much of the KKK-Chat UEFA Cup ticket mass panic fiasco which ended up with everyone who wanted a ticket, got one.
Can’t just be me who finds it amusing that people on here are up in arms that the OF want to hit us financially and the best way they can think of protesting is by...... hitting us financially?
The folk running the show at AFC may well be a lot of things but they certainly aren’t frivolous when it comes to money matters (these days). The simple fact of this matter is; they’ll have done the sums and they’d have been favourable towards giving them the 5% they asked for.
Why exactly folk are complaining that the club went to the Weegie press with their statement and not the fans is beyond me. It’s not going to affect our fans when we buy tickets, it’s not affecting our fans at home games and it’s not even affecting our fans when we travel to Glasgow. It’s only angered us because the OF get to do as they please and I’m sure they’re as happy about it down Pittodrie as we are. But financially, it obviously makes sense for us to pay it. The press would have called them for a statement and they'll have given one.
I’m not saying it isn’t leaving a sour taste in my mouth but the OF will have dreamt up this scheme because they know they can get away with it. Maybe not from all the clubs, but some, like ours, will have to like it and lump it.
Who says the other 10 teams didn’t have a meeting?
How will the club know you’re not renewing your season ticket because of this incident?
Boycotting games in Glasgow won’t work either as I’m sure AFC pay for any unsold tickets.
We’ll have had to pay this because we are over a barrel, not because we’ve just agreed to it.
Totally agree with this.
People that email into the club just seems like going back to school, does it make you feel big and important when you do it? Its remarkably easy to set up filters etc so that you dont have to read wee Jimmy saying he's not happy at us.

i'm pretty sure I read the other week that he is off to Watford. I'll ask the bird at work, she supports the 'Orns.
He turned out for them in a preseason friendly. Not sure if its all signed, sealed and delivered yet though.
-
Merely average would get him into our team, easy.
Oh, and the mighty Boro head for Easter Road on Saturday. If they need a result and some goals, the Smoggies will no doubt oblige!!
Indeed he would play alongside Miller but that says more about the quality of Mackie, Bebo etc.
If you take out McDonald and Boyd there really isnt much in the terms of good quality strikers playing in Scotland.
-
Good to see a win, Metro reported Mackie is out with a suspected broken rib?
Saw that, and that we scored with our only shot on target. Good win though against a good side
-
And some people think that Fletcher is a good striker, he is merely average.
-
They were total cahnts that day though and they were watching the guy in the light blue jacket, which you were wearing btw
I still believe it was a case of mistaken identity!!
Dont think there has been that many memorably bad stewards since then, either that or my behaviour has picked up
-
Red JVC for me as well. Was my first dons top!
-
I'm going to put the Motherwell stewards at the top here.
In the pie que at half time two seasons back and one of them comes up and tells me that the cops have a camera on me so make sure i behave myself. All this because i was standing up!! I think they really meant to be watching Funster though, just so hapened i was standing beside him
-
Yes, we wouldn't ordinarily play a full-time team in our second pre-season game. Calderwood said this himself - the original plan was for AFC to go and play some bounce games in Ireland.
Against teams including Leeds, who are probably a better side than Dundee!!
-
First time i've ever had success at this game!!
-
Had been training at Partick Thistle last week.
They dont hold out much hope of signing him though.
-
I was always under the impression that it was 8-4 on votes, who knows why. I do know that the rule was changed to prevent the OF having a veto.
Same and pretty sure that it is.
Good on Falkirk though, now lets wait and see what we do for the filth later in the same month.

Guaranteed to score against us next season!!
Though he did have to go....
-
I'll be happy when this transfer dies on its arse. The boy disnae want to sign for us (IMHO). Normally I'd be annoyed but in this instance I think it's a blessing.
What are you basing that opinion on? We havent actually heard anything from him!!
-
Would like us to sign a centre half and a striker primarily.
A couple of loan signings would also be a good thing.
-
Reckon he will be a good signing.
Still a couple players short but we have brought in a couple of decent players so far.
Goalscorer next please!!
-
Just been announced on the radio that they are getting married!
Congratulations!
She was wearing the engagement ring at T in the park apparently!!
-
Costs about £9 in a taxi just to get out the station though!!
-
Apparently the guy that Robertson had the fight with at Murrayfield!!
-
What league?
Fixed
-
I dont think it he was in any danger of ever making the cut
One shot off the lead 4 holes into his second round!!
Shame he's going to miss the entertainment tomorrow!!
The OF want 5% of our ticket sales

Wee Jimmy was just a figure to represent those complaining, not anybody in particular.
When somebody at the bank messes up and you want to register a complaint do you send them an email as well? You seek out one to one interaction with those involved and ultimately this leads to points being made and people getting a better understanding of whats happened and why. This may not be the easiest thing to set up with the club but is definitely what you should be looking to do if you want to make a point rather than hundreds of folk sending off emails.
