David McNamee was 10 minutes away from becoming Craig Brown's first signing for Aberdeen last night before the blizzard conditions in the north east put his ambitions on hold. The former Scotland full-back was about to land at Aberdeen Airport but the state of the runways meant he was forced to return to the Midlands, putting his move to Pittodrie on hold. "I'd flown up from Birmingham and we were 10 minutes outside Aberdeen when the pilot was told that we wouldn't be able to land until 4.10, which was half an hour later," said the 30-year-old.
