  5. Interesting the bit about unfinished business with us. Would welcome him back tomorrow with open arms, if he'd accept a pay as you play deal The Rapid resurgence of former Don Smith Published: 18/12/2010 FORMER Aberdeen attacker Jamie Smith is relishing life in the United States, but admits to having unfinished business with the Dons. The 30-year-old has enjoyed a successful switch to MLS side Colorado Rapids and played a key role in the Denver club’s championship-winning campaign this year. Smith left Pittodrie in the summer of 2009 and, although not ready to head home yet, he hopes to return some day. The former Celtic player, who spend four years with the Dons, said: “One thing I’ve learned as a footballer is you never know what is around the corner. “I have been keeping tabs on how things are going at Aberdeen and I’ve got so many friends there. “The club and the supporters deserve to be better-placed than where they are now, so I hope they can pull themselves out of it. “I’m still really enjoying it at Colorado but it would be nice to come back one day.” Smith’s time at the Dons was blighted by injury and he suffered serious knee-ligament damage in his first season in the States. He returned to fitness for the 2010 campaign and is loving life in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. He said: “When my contract ran down at Aberdeen and I had the chance to go out to the States, it was a bit of a gamble. “I went in not knowing what to expect but it’s been thoroughly enjoyable. “It’s been great. We won the championship which was a massive thing and pretty unexpected, but it was certainly welcome.” Read more: http://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/Article.aspx/2058627#ixzz18g4Y2cxm

  7. is the correct answer
  8. Show of hands among the passengers, land at edinburgh and make your own way north, or go back to where we started
  9. David McNamee was 10 minutes away from becoming Craig Brown's first signing for Aberdeen last night before the blizzard conditions in the north east put his ambitions on hold. The former Scotland full-back was about to land at Aberdeen Airport but the state of the runways meant he was forced to return to the Midlands, putting his move to Pittodrie on hold. "I'd flown up from Birmingham and we were 10 minutes outside Aberdeen when the pilot was told that we wouldn't be able to land until 4.10, which was half an hour later," said the 30-year-old. "So we circled the airport for half an hour and then the word came through that the airport wouldn't re-open until five o'clock. "It turned out that our plane didn't have enough fuel to wait that long so we had to return to England. Once we got back we discovered that they'd postponed the re-opening of Aberdeen until 7pm." McNamee had been due to undergo a medical this morning before signing a deal until the end of the season. He'd played in two bounce games for Brown and Archie Knox at Motherwell last week and was under consideration for a place in the squad to face the Steelmen tomorrow. "It's incredibly annoying to have got so close and then to have everything held up by something as unavoidable as snow," said McNamee, a League Cup winner with Livingston in 2004.
  10. Can't disagree with that A clear indication of just how much his stock has fallen owing to the level of performances he has been churning out week after week

  17. According to Mr Brown himself on his interview on BBC Scotland Sport website he doesn't expect official annopuncement until Monday. Relax guys, all will be well
  18. Can noyl think they don't trust the mini bus full of supporters they'll take to the game to behave themselves and not shout some nasty things to Mr Brown
  19. They obviously want him to have a few days oot of work
  20. SSN source Motherwell have asked us to delay the appointment of Mr Brown until after we play them on the 18th December. Does this mean they will in return retract the stupid statement about getting the SPL to take action against us for an illegal approach for their management team. Personally I'd tell Frankie Howard to go fuck himself
