Well folks, 3 down at half time and superstar Mackie has missed not one BUT TWO open goals. Traynor on the radio made a perfectly good point in saying that ANY punter could miss these chances. But these are not average punters. Thety are people who are payed pretty well to kick a ball between two sticks. What are these players doing each week between games?? Because its certaintly not practising football. Mackie (and a few others) are stealing a living. He is just not good enough to be professional footballer, never mind an SPL player. 50 goals in ten years for an out and out striker is or should be embarassing.

I think that will be the case that Bayern will do just enough to win the game. celtic will hopefully think tha they can do the same against an "inferior" league team, so if we give em a shock and hve a right go at them i believe we can beat the tim tomorrow. To be honest I think everyone in the club are missing Ajja's point. Yes its all very nice being in Europe and still in it at this stage, buts its been FAR TOO LONG since we have had a decent cup run, never mind winning a bit of silver ware. THAT is why last week was SO disaponting. You have to look after the bread and butter games to make sure you keep yourselves in that position of being able to swan around Europe. There is no point in being in Europe if you are being gubbed by every other team you encounter.

Agree completey with Mizer, We are not the same team in any way as last season and I reckon the players know that too, meaning there is not the same confidence through the squad. The amount of goals that we have conceded this season is disgraceful, but that goes back to not having a settled back line. Nothing Caldo has done this season has created any confidence in our players. From last season the logical next step in improvement would be to win a cup whilst retaining our European slot. As 3 place is in doubt that really only leaves theScottish cup to win.....Oh well there is always next season!

I have been a JC supporter but as tihs season rolls on and more and more horrors are unveiled, it is clear that the basic, elemental areas of the team have not been given the proper attention. At this point of the season to not hae a settled back line is disturbing. I am also beginning to accept (realisation dawned ages ago) that Caldo frequently gets outwitted by guys like levein who play essentially a simple game. The saying football is a simple game made complicated by bad managers is becoming more and more appropriate to the Tango man. I just think his time is running out. The only way to save himself I reckon would be to have a show of leadership and clear out some dead wood of guys not up to the mark, like byrne. But we simply can not afford this course of action.
