  1. Has there been a debate about the greatest ever goal scored by an Aberdeen player under the following headings? 1.At Pittodrie 2.Away from home 3.In the Premier League 4.In the Scottish Cup 5.In the League Cup 6.In Europe 7.At Hampden, 8.Individually and or collectively 9.A Dons player representing Scotland Is there scope for a discussion? 2. Maybe view was the wrong word then. I find when we shoot into the far end at Kilmarnock and Falkirk (especially The Bairns because they have no stand to seperate the goal from the white board they have up the now) I have trouble in seeing proceedings and this really annoys me.
  3. So what your telling me is that when Mackie scored that winner in the Cup last season it was hard to appreciate the victory until seeing it again on TV. Mizer I agree about the Upper RDS although I would miss the atmosphere spawned if I went to another part of the stadium. When Jamie Smith lined up his first against Copenhagen I remember thinking; "You outrageous b*****d!" simply because the angle at which I was seeing it at (two rows from the top)was deceiving. Not until everybody was jumping about like daftdies did I realise it was a goal and not before replays later in the week did I get the ultimate enjoyment. Take Care! SeeBass
  4. Which away grounds do you think have the worst viewing from our perspective? My top three are as follows, Falkirk, Kilmarnock then Dundee United.
  5. Anyone know how to secure highlights of Falkirk 1 v 2 Aberdeen, Motherwell 0 v 2 Aberdeen and Kilmarnock 1 v 2 Aberdeen from March 2007?
  6. Bobby Biscuit, Any chance you sending me the coverage of that 4-1 win over Hearts?
  7. I agree with Caroline....it was just meant to be, especially after watching them outclass Hearts 4-1 at Tynecastle in April 91` my first ever game. Was part of my 11th birthday present. Also only the greatest team in the world can recreate history by reuniting with an old foe the same night I became an author twenty five years after we last played them and witnessed our most memorable game. Will never ever forget that day for as long as I live.
  8. Being A Don Mean To You? I want to know guys because I`m sick of being put under the "typical football fan" bracket. It`s never been about a belonging or a tribal thing with me.
  9. I could be wrong but I thought Lee Miller did a sterling job Saturday. When the head is screwed on the right way for me he`s the best striker in the league.
  10. How many times have the Dons actually played on your birthday before and after your arrival? My special date is 21st April 1980 and want to know if there`s an easy way of finding out our record on this day since. Seem to remember Ricky Foster scoring a cracker in a 2-2 Pittodrie draw with Hibernian a few years back. SeeBass
  11. Scottish Treble tonight is Dunfermline, Hamilton and St.Johnstone...stick in Raith to beat Falkirk I think it could be the upset of the night. English four timer reads; Newcastle, Stoke, Preston and Burnley.
  12. I have two Rangers programmes from games I didn`t go to so if your wanting them just let me know. Both are in good nick. ABERDEEN Vs RANGERS, SATURDAY 31st OCTOBER 2004 and: ABERDEEN Vs RANGERS, SATURDAY 14th FEBRUARY 2004. Take Care! Talk Soon! SeeBass
  13. I have three or four pendants from the 80`s I want to give away (scarves have found a new home.) Two of them just have the club crest on the front whilst the other has a 2 v 1 Cup win over Celtic written on it with McGhee and Black underneath if memory serves me right. Possibly another result beneath this one against Rangers but I`m not quite sure, maybe this is the fourth I have lying about doing nothing. Will get back to you on that one. Again willing to let go of these for free. Just let me know. Cheers! SeeBass
  14. Steems, You know what I mean! I`ve been left the school nearly 11 years now and got the tag well before I went into 5th year which would add another two years on. Maybe I can be the kid`s sponsor if he makes the senior squad! One thing I forgot to add in my original post is that Connor said he played midfield, trained in Glasgow and his coach was Neil Simpson and they had a game up in Inverness that coming Sunday.
  15. My English and Scottish quartet`s tomorrow are: Newcastle United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Swindown Town and Cardiff City. Motherwell, Dundee, Montrose and Ayr United.
  16. Baggy, I got the nickname SeeBass from that same line in Dumb and Dumber. A couple of lads were bullyng me in the Crush Hall and I just stood there letting them abuse me without fighting back. This other guy who was in my reg class but not a mate as such told me to: "Kick Ass SeeBass!" Well this did nothing but make me burst into tears with laughter and it`s stuck for the last 14-15 years. Even the idiots that started the tirade walked away smiling. The other one I got before this incident was: "Feed me Seymour!" from that silly film I can`t remember. Now I could see why with this because my surname is Seymour but I`m happy with SeeBass despite the poor connection.
  17. I also remember Stuart Pearce say when boss of Manchester City: "There`s something sexy about a late 1-0 win away from home especially if you`ve not deserved it!"
  18. I just bumped into a lad in Duns yesterday who saw me with my Aberdeen top on. His name was Connor Devanney and he told me he plays for the U-17`s alongside Ryan Jack who is a good prospect for the future. Anybody seen Mr Deveaney play? Can`t imagine it but could there be a tiny Scottish Borders town produce a prodigy for the Pittodrie first team in a few years time! Talk Soon, Take Care! SeeBass
  19. Saturday`s game was the first time I`ve ever been through Motherwell town centre...what a dump! However the thing which made we laugh the most was the sight of a "Wimpy" restaurant in the shopping centre bit. I thought like I`d went back into the 80`s man! Didn`t this establishment go out of business yonks ago??? Obviously not if Lanarkshire still wants to live in the dark ages.
  20. Bloo, Maybe it was because we were in the Merkland Family Stand that I lost interest in going to Pittodrie I don`t know. Plus football takes a back seat when you have family issues to deal with as in early 1997 mum broke up with my step-father and it meant I had nobody to go with or take me. Was pretty much a hermit around this time due to the hassle at school. I`m epileptic and have to rely on public transport to get to games. Hence why I`ve not seen us up at Caley unless I stay over in Inverness which I don`t want to do. All in all I`ve managed to see 132 games between 1991-96 and now 1999-to the present day. Only four of the last 37 matches have been at Pittodrie. Money is a big stumbling block which is why I have to pick and choose what games I goto.
  21. And to think I was going to start a competition to see which two supporters would each win a complimentary copy of the book after the publishers made a cock-up at their end and gave two free of charge as an apology! Bottom line is supporting Aberdeen has probably saved my life and although the book isn`t solely about following The Dons, being a part of The Red Army is very important to me even if I haven`t been to Pittodrie for 12 years up until the Dnipro home leg. I was a season ticket holder between 1993 and 1996 and because of where I live it used to take me, my younger brother and step-father 14 hours to watch a game. Leave the Borders at eight in the morning and not get to our bed til nearer ten in the evening. So is anybody up for this competition idea I have? How about you tell me why in no more than a 100 words why you should win one. P.S. Cheers Sharpie for that comment
  22. for three scarves about 20 plus years old. The first is a "Magnificent Aberdeen, Double Cup Winners.", which has European Cup Winnners Cup, Aberdeen 2 v 1 Real Madrid and Scottish Cup, Aberdeen 1 v 0 Rangers written on it. It`s a little faded so I`m happy to give it away for free. Secondly a signed "1985 League Champions." scarf although the signatures are knitted on not scribbed in ink sadly. Finally the last one has just "Aberdeen" splattered over it and is quite short in length. Once again I don`t mind losing these for nothing as they all belonged to my step-father`s cousin before his untimely suicide nearly fifteen years ago. They have no emotional attachtment to me having not been a fan until 1989 so hopefully we can find a nice retirement home for them in a place where they`ll be appreciated more. Let me know if your interested. Take Care! SeeBass
  23. Tenementfunster, You sound just like all those bullies at High School with a comment of that nature. "Spasticated Mongol" was something I repeatedly got called and could never understand as a child why it was never in the dictionary. Actually wanted to call the book by that name but the publishers thought it would be a bit unappropiate. It always made me feel inadaquate as a person when many kids copied the main protaganists and the "whole world" couldn`t have an opinion on me and not be wrong eh? Only when the book was released did I feel vindicated in my behaviour not to fight back physically or verbally against these idiots. Weren`t worth my time or energy. I quite enjoy the fact that I`m going to live on for years to come after my death even if it`s the only book I have printed which can`t be said for a lot of the culprits. Take Care!
  24. Do I detect a touch of jealousy boys? So what if I`m shouting it off the rooftops. It`s not bad for and I quote; "A spasticated mongol who`ll never achieve anything in his life. Your a waste of space."
  25. Predictions for tomorrow are: Fancy doing all as singles but might try them as a treble if feeling lucky. Fenerbache (5/4) to beat Partizan Belgrade, Panathinaikos (8/5) to beat Sparta Prague and Atletico Madrid (9/5) to beat Schalke.
