At the games you have been to this season how many of them have you came away thinking that Maguire has been a clear stand out, head and shoulders (now expecting shampoo puns) above every other player on the park?

Yes, why? It's just that it seems to move really slowly then all of a sudden just goes really quick and that's it finished, the ending itself is actually rather good.

Here was me thinking this would be a "happy Birthday Chris Maguire" thread, gutted. Boy had a really good first half, finding his feet and fitness but once all is there I think he will be a good player for us.

Just back from seeing 127 Hours, really good film, does get a bit boring and a strange ending, like the time of it is a bit weird but on a whole I really enjoyed it and the bit with the arm is quality. 7/10

Nope, Maguire hasn't set up that many in my memory, and what I am saying is that had Maguire looked up to see Vernon wide open he'd have set up one then but he didn't.

How many? I'm sure he could have had one more last week had Maguire looked up to see him wide open.

Vernon has been much more consistent, his take downs are really good, flick ons are decent too and he is grabbing goals, Maguire? Well he has had a good last few months, work rate is up, he is scoring (now and then) he needs to be stronger and stop pulling out of tackles. RDU, he has played over 120 games in the last 5 years, should he not have learned by now? Anyways off to the cinema now, will debate later.

It's the way he goes about it though, trying to win the ball back, dives in, giving fouls away, I like the effort but the boy needs to use his brain.

No but I expect Maguire to put up a bit of fight when a defender is near him, instead he loses the ball then goes diving in or runs about like a school kid, also it would be good if he didn't pull out of tackles, he will do himself a serious injury playing in that style, 5 tackles today he bottled out of. As for Magennis, he isn't a winger, tries too hard trying to impress, I thought he should have been subbed at half time or switched with Maguire.

I have given him credit, I just disagreed with him being MOTM when clearly he was god awful in the first half, also you must've missed the attempted elbow in the first half near the south stand on the halfway line and you must've missed his kick at Mair in the second half after he was brushed to the ground?

But if you are dishing out new deals on current form then every player who have upped there game since McGhee left then they should all get a decent extension too? A new contract should be based on your last season, season and a half. Thing is though TF, some folk think he is better than Goodwillie, there are some who reckon he could cut it in the EPL, they are just fickle as fuck in MY opinion.

Not at all, people are entitled to their opinions, I just think he was pish today apart from some bits of the second half, Derek Young and Considine had very good GAMES and by games I mean roughly 90 minutes.
