This zonal marking pish is costing us so many goals!!! It needs to end.
Iām not sure we can blame any of last nightās goals on zonal marking but I agree with your point.

I was in Budapest (he lived there) last year and reached out to him but didn't get a response.
Going back in June and was going to try and arrange to get a beer with him.
Absolutely gutted to hear this. One of life's good guys
P S didn't realise Abmad was still on the go. Must go have a look

All evidence points to this being the case. Maybe Jimmy T can work his magic, similar to what heās done with Morris and Gueye.Ā
I donāt see him ever being good enough tbhĀ

First half we were relentless, real top notch pressing play just lacking goals. Second half, for whatever reason, we lost that high tempo intensity but were still fully in control of the match. One of the most promising aspects for me today was the strength of the bench and I'm sure that with match fitness we will see the squad improving week by week as there is a lot better to come from this team and with the return of Clarkson and Polvara it will become a real question of who we leave out.Ā

If we can sign a winger, and if this Finn were to be the guy, Iām good as is with the squad. If itās say 7m for bojan, paying 1m - 1.5m or so for this guy isnāt unreasonable or impossible, plus sell on %. We are due a big signing, especially with bojan going, I could see this happening.
JT called for patience and multiple windows, donāt really want another 10 summer signings. Work with what we have, develop a few youngsters, and work on a way to punt a few squad fillers over the next season. Maybe add a couple or loaners and develop the squad.
last point, would mind seeing sokler and gueye up front Sunday is bojan is gone. Gueye is not a window play and reminds me of JET. Could be productiveā¦..or not.
I cant say that I agree Orlando there's no in our squad. If we sign this boy and he gets injured we're in exactly the same position we are in right now. At the bare minimum we, we need another winger imo. Our squad was threadbare when we played St Johnstone and I don't see the signing of a midfielder who looks really good but has been out injured for a long spell and a highly rated winger completely solves that as some of our young lads such as Bavidge look well off it from what I've seen of them.Ā

We need to give Milne an opportunity to show he can play in a position or get rid of him as our coaching staff don't seem to know what his best position is supposed to be and I cant see the point in keeping him.Ā

Loved watching him play. An old fashioned winger who was great at taking players on.
He was, you could argue, similar to Hayes.
Both great players on their day but could either hold a candle to Haraldur Ingolfsson?

A good honest player who always gave his all. What more can you ask for, good luck son.Ā

"Previous winners of the award include Daniele De Rossi, Nicolo Barella and Sandro Tonali."Ā
Nothing like playing down the award. Surely "previous winners: Xavi, Pirlo, Touré, Pogba, Iniesta" would sound a little better.
At the risk of having been whooshed, I'll bite. How did Xavi and Iniesta get voted the best midfielder in the Serie A?

I'd rather eat my own shite than suggest Lennon for manager.
That said, given the choice, I'd have had him over Warnock.Ā
If Warnock goes, just give Leven control and make it very clear that he's only there for a few weeks until we sort someone out, and that there is absolutely zero pressure or expectation on him to do anything as manager other than to turn up and take the team. Make sure that the fans are clear on this too. Realistically, a new manager should be on board by mid May at the latest (playoff dependent), so that they can begin the build for next season, as well as have a clear idea of what the current team has, or doesn't.Ā
What will actually happen, of course, is that our shitey review will be ongoing into June, when we get some foreign manager in (because Dave hasn't tried foreign yet, you see). The review will conclude that we need various structural and staff changes, will begin just as we leave the summer transfer window. At which point, the foreign manager will have recruited his foreign friends to play for us, resulting in the usual mixed bag of utter pish, average and one gem to make it all right. We will not publicly acknowledge the fact that the new manager hasn't had the benefit of our review changes, nor any support in his role in a new country, and we'll part ways when we're in eighth place in January, replacing with someone who knows the Scottish game.
Fuck me, no wonder you got sacked from your job with the SamaritansĀ

I think if we were to win here we could go onto make the top four, but Iām not confident. We have a game in hand on Kilmarnock so despite being 10 points behind we could find ourselves within four. Itās really just if we can put together a run of results and get some confidence back, which I admit Iāve been thinking since December.Ā
As much as our squad has a few deficiencies I believe it should be good enough to get 4th.Ā
ĀOut
1-1 Miovski
Ā
Unfortunately I've not been seeing anything that gives me any confidence that we are capable of either A. Taking anything from this match or B. Going on any sort of sustained winning run.
I hope that I'm proved wrong on both counts.

To each their own but from my pov it was about as bad as I thought it was going to be.Ā The bit that fucked me off the most was the here to have a bit of fun chat.Ā Tremendous, we are now light entertainment for a geriatric fucking hun sycophant (morton fan my arse). Warnock out.Ā
Ā
Not that it particularly matters to me because I couldn't give two hoots where any of our managers allegiances lie as long as they do a decent job but Warnock has been spotted many times at Morton over the years and is a member of The Morton Community trust.Ā

Ā The question I have is why we always struggle against any team which sits in particularly if we donāt get an early goal. We should have a bit more nous and quality about us to dispose of these teams but we regularly play all our football in front of their defence and shift the ball about in a pedestrian manner. Our coaches should surely have a clue how to unlock these teams other than repeatedly doing the same thing.Ā

Āmanaged to get my boys to watch it all, and for all the huns possession, we looked decent enough after the first. A few hairy moments, but subs were good and contributed. As you said panda, beast mode performance from shinnie
thought everyone played their part, superb.

The biggest problem with Sokler is that it's difficult to tell the difference between him and Miovski. The club have either got to stop playing them together or force one of them into a drastic haircut. Miovski was here first, so it really should be Sokler that takes the punishment.
It really is uncanny

First half we were a defensive disaster mainly due to playing Morris and Duncan as wing backs. We basically had no cover in the wing back areas which they identified playing numerous high diagonals into, in particular, the right wing back area, dragging our centre halves wide to cover andĀ putting us under pressure. When we moved Devlin in there in the second half and brought on Angus McDonald the problem was sorted.Ā
Second half Miovski and Devlin were both outstanding, Shinnie covered every blade of grass and the McG's were both excellent when they came on. I also liked the look of Sokler.
Overall there was plenty to be positive about but we cannot start games with that line up very often and expect a result, particularly in Europe.Ā

Let's be honest, if we had been humped 5-0 by Rangers last week, the fans would have wanted someone else.
And if Alex Ferguson had not won all those games with us and Man Utd he'd have been a crap manager.Ā

Scottish Cup final: Aberdeen v Celtic - 24/05
in Aberdeen Football Club

I am getting on but not quite your vintage Al ( I was 2 in 1970)
I was a ball boy at the 1982 Final and had a great pitch side view. (Depending the highlights angle i can be seen right behind Simmie when he takes the throw in in the lead up to the 3rd goal) Ā I was at the 1983,1984,1986 and 1990 finals. Great times.Ā
