That was really, really bad. I didn't think we could get worse than the county game, but we've managed it. I haven't seen a performance that insipid since Paterson was here. An absolutely shocking performance by players and manager. The ref was obviously terrible too, but that can't be used as an excuse. Goodwin has taken a honking Glass side and ripped any remaining confidence from it in a ridiculously high risk strategy that relies on everyone else losing points. The players have left the building. How on earth you can watch that shite for over 70 minutes without a substitute is beyond imagination. Not only does it excuse the on field performance, but it tells the players on the bench that they're not good enough to take over from the 80% half arsed shite on the pitch. The fact that you've already told several of those subs that they're not good enough, in a tactical masterstroke, obviously doesn't help. To bring on Ramsay for five minutes is criminal. If he wasn't fit enough to risk for 45 minutes, then don't risk taking him on at all. If he was fit enough for anything more than a leg-stretch, then it's pure managerial incompetence not to have him on. I understand the need to give the manager a chance, and I absolutely will (I was, and am, a Goodwin fan). However, this current situation is entirely of his own making, and not the atmosphere an experienced manager should be creating - even temporarily - at a club. He's handled things terribly, and the players are downing tools as a result. He has to accept the criticism where it's due. He'll be bloody lucky if he can turn it around in time for the start of next season.

Edit: I'd exclude Hayes from the effort criticism, he worked hard. Possibly Barron and McKenzie too, although both probably played within themselves.

Totally agree with you regarding Ramsay...start with your best players in their best position.  If he can't go on after 30mins or so then adjust...Ojo isn't a full back and he was all over the place for their pen.  As for Hayes he was really good today except for his crossing.  Livi's crossing on the other hand was excellent...get the ball under control and then whip it into the box, no need to drop the shoulder, no need to beat your opponent - we on the other hand, try to pick out the perfect cross.

He'll undoubtedly take the Alex Smith approach and be ultra cautious.

Although strictly speaking a draw is not enough. They'd still have to beat Raith.

Agreed a draw isn't enough but he'll be calculating that it is.   Oh, and by the way, why did you bring up that game...too soon!

ICT beat Killie tonight. If Arbroath win tomorrow then next Friday will be immense.

Great win for Arbroath, sets up next Friday's game v. Killie.  Wonder how McInnes will set up his team knowing a draw might be good enough?

Holy fuck why do our support keep hanging on to lewis as if he's still the same player as 3 years ago! He's NOT! Let it go!! His stats over last 2 seasons has him in the bottom 6 keepers in this diddy league. Hladky was number 1 at Salford and he's number 2 tae the best goalie in leauge 1 at Ipswich! Look back at Lewis's fuck ups this season he's probably cost us abt 9-11 points. He's also nearly 35 ffs and don't list Craig Gordon's age as he's a tottaly different animal to Joe & 10x times a better goalie.

I'm sure your memory is better that mine (old git that I am) so which games has he cost as points - not disputing your opinion of Lewis, by the way, just think that their are other priorities to be sorted first.

  6. The weird thing is that however shocking our defence is (and every time the oppo get within shooting distance my sphincter starts acting up) we've, apart from the top 3 side, the "best" defensive record, which may get us into the top 6.  Just goes to show how crap all the other defences are but, no doubt, we'll be signing some of those defenders in the summer!  Might even bring back Ash...too far?

Looks like the misery continues. If I haven't read the table wrong, it's all actually become very simple - we have to beat Ross County, and Hibs have to lose or draw against Hearts.  If that happens, we are 6th, the other results don't matter.  If Hibs win we are 7th.

When I got home after watching our 3rd XI lose in a cup final (playing against 10 men for 65mins) and saw the result thought ah well, that's that then.  Now you've opened the door called "hope" again!

    Barron absolutely outstanding.

Seems to be getting better with each passing game.

Hard to believe he has only just broken into the team

Did he get MoM?  My hesgoals link dropped out after we scored our 3rd.

I’m taking my 5 year old to his first match today. This of course could put him off football for life! 😬

My first game was a 5-0 drubbing by the dead club but it didn't put me off! (Not that I think we'll lose 5-0 today)

I'm guessing they'll be split down the middle. Plenty of Clyde fans weren't happy first time around, but they weren't listened to. He can probably ply his rapey trade at that level without too much publicity, but he can count himself lucky.

North Lanarkshire Council, who own Clyde's ground, are banning him from the stadium and have also said they won't renew the lease when Clyde's contract expires next May.

You said you wanted to get rid of Lewis because he couldn't save penalties.  And no, my second team is Alexandra Park FC.

They did however avoid a red card for Jack’s knee high tackle at the end.

Come on, be fair, the ball is pretty close.  Reminds me of Naismith on Rob Milson.

Tribute Act 1-0 down to Arabs. Not a result that suits us but funny all the same.

Finished 1-1 and the new club didn't get a penalty in the last 10 mins - what is the world coming to?  Dundee lost which suits us!

    Let's hear your seven then.

At this moment in time every player will.start with a clean slate on account of the managerial situation.

I'm amazed he only said 7 - can't remember him ever saying anything positive about any Aberdeen player.
