  2. Looks like someone doesnt like what you said
  3. If the trend of recent times has been for locals to move to the Aberdeen suburbs and beyond, and the stadium being located next to the AWPR making easier access for the 50ish% of fans who come from the North,South and West(and for many folks in town),the location doesnt seem such a bad idea to me. And if the sale of Pittodrie generates what? £15m say ?,a significant sum towards the cost of a new build, why would you patch and repair an old building (without that £15m),in an area where a growing population of incomers*, may have no particular allegiance to the Dons Re - walking to the stadium .I,and lots of others winna be walking for a mile along grassy verges to watch a game of football. If the powers that be are stupid enough to not have something in place for this, then theyll pay for it in folks not bothering *Be interesting to know what the demographic is these days of folks in Torry,Seaton and City Centre though. **Had a wee look,55,000 migrants to the city since 2002,around 60% of whom settled in City Centre/East side of city
  4. Paperwork night for me tonight, but enjoying some bottles of Guinness golden ale in the process . Nice
  5. Express think were 'closing in' on Stevie May... Cant post link
  6. In or Oot - In Furryboots - SSX If I can get a ticket Pre/post - driving Prediction - AFC 0 - SFC 4(Reynolds x4)
  7. Ahve no time for Milne, but being the owner of a football club has never been a way to make money RS. Whats Milne got or getting out of his involvement.Nae sure what Milnes ploughed in,but I know AAM put in a couple of million they didnt get back If its a case of doing up Pittodrie for eg £25m,or, getting X£m for the land at Pittodrie, plus the £25m towards a purpose built stadium, whats the problem(assuming the X£m goes to the stadium)?.
  8. You boys happy enough with the picture descriptions by your sides?
  9. Great memories at Pittodrie, but realise its time for change.Looking forward to the new project.Personally think an 18.000 capacity would suit the crowds we get in relation to how full the ground would look at a game.Being in a stadium over or under half full can be the difference to making it appealing to newbies(and oldies)
  10. Just back from the 5 Munros of the Arrochar Alps in the snow.Great visibility and views down Loch Long and out to Ailsa Craig.Pretty rugged hills too,the only downside being the people traffic heading up the Cobbler

    Celeb Deaths

Heart attack apparently.A decent enough chap,by England manager standards.
  12. Both.Mainly loch(or lake) fishing but occasionally hire a boat off of Harris. manc-don - nae sure if you mean overnight accomodation or somewhere to spend a couple of days. Kinlochourn is one of my fave places, camping or bnb at the end of a remote track. maybe get in touch nearer the time tie options in with forecast
  13. Joan Armatrading - Love and affection
  14. Plenty looting and plummeting in Paisley..
  15. Heard further good reports yesterday about it exceeding expectations. The fishing looks ace too...
  16. Am up those areas every other w/e.Gies a shout if youre stuck for ideas/what to do,tracks, trails, beaches, bnbs etc
  17. Walking for miles all day up and down hills doesnt bother me,but 5 minutes on a bike literally to me is torture.Even allowing for the different muscles used, you would think it wouldnt need that much of a transition Danny Mac - thats my favourite vid of his. Most folks need ropes to get up the In Pinn, fair play to him
  18. My recent track records a bit ropey, but another forum saying Andy Cannon close to signing, faever he is
  19. Signed a 2 year contract starting April or May this year . £200k though?,surely talking upper hundreds before thinking about selling
  20. Its a strange one.Our home crowds are probably less than they should be,but our away support is proportionally higher than most others Wasnt always the same though.IMO our core home support is pretty much the same as it always was.The away support has evolved a lot over the years though. When I went to my first away games in the late seventies, there were often only a handful of Dons fans there(with the exception of Dundee,or big cup games).Wasnt that great in the eighties either,in proportion to the success we had.Started to increase in the early nineties and grew to present levels around Ebbe's time despite having some of the worst ever teams.A strange one, disposable income increase maybe? ...good to see though, just wish we could grow the home support
  21. http://www.donssupporterstogether.com/index.php/component/k2/item/171-travelling-dons-fans-named-best-in-scotland Dont go to many away games these days, but well done the boys that do
  22. Apologies.Hadnt heard of the guy (or his age).Sheep on fire are usually good for news ...though I hear we're after a Turkish midfielder
  23. Sheep on fire-facebook are normally ok,but they took it from another site.Nothing on AFC site.Could well be bollocks
  24. Welcome min, where about in the N/E do you hail originally?
