For me, I feel that there isn't a proper talented leader in the squad. Let's be brutally honest ( and I know Rico will jump on this) if you arrive at cormack park and your asked to live up to the standards of shinnie, that isn't a high bar. He'd struggle to make the first 11 of the teams around us. We need a match winner that the squad trust and think that if this guy is on my side we're gonna win. Not singling shinnie out( he just happens to be the skipper) because we haven't had that guy in some time and we need someone that is a step above the rest to raise levels. Worryingly karlsson should've been that guy and regressed after a fortnight. Players come in and go backwards in a couple of months. That's a culture for me and it was happening long before Jimmy rocked up.

Didn't see it at the time. Watched the highlights this morning. I dint think we had any chances on there. No complaint about the red from me. He has raked the leg ( accidentally id say ) but it's defo a yellow at best and he was on one already. I've said it before. The mindset within the club seems to be the barrier here. We've changed coaches, we've changed a lot of the staff. It's time for a clean sweep. New man, new coaches. New skipper and let them stamp their authority on things because it seems to me that mediocrity is accepted and it's clear that training isn't at the intensity needed because we're soft as shit.

Great result. Couple of shaky moments first half but so much better going forward. Actually got balls in the box and passed forward. Great to see big sivert killing it off. Created more chances than we have in months. Actually looks like some coaching has gone on this week. I know livi aren't great but that will help confidence no end. Hopefully nisbet and topi kick on now for the season.

On the Karlsson front. I thought he started well then settled into our squad and got worse. I've said it for some time, the culture in the squad is rotten and has been since dels last couple of seasons. New faces come in , we have a revival and then they settle in to the same pattern. What needs to change because it can't just be managers.

Looking back. Was glass not the closest to what we want? Yes the defence was leaky and we couldn't score goals but there have been plenty of runs like that since. We did however have possession percentages north of 70% in a lot of games and an identity ( whilst losing I admit ) I'd like to see us try to play football again and motherwell have shown that it's possible. Remember there was talk of him being under pressure when they're couldn't buy a win but he maybe just figured the league out a bit quicker than glass. Bring in sometime who wants to dominate games please.

Can't disagree with that

Thing is though that pirlo could do the ugly stuff too and Clarkson can't. Meaning he's great on the ball but an empty jersey when we don't have it. That's why I think he'd be better as a ten where his vision is useful and he also used to score goals. Although I also thought that Armstrong would play there. Aochice, shinnie, Clarkson, Cameron and Armstrong all lack physicality ( granted a couple are due to age ) but you need ball winners in a team to let others play and that's where we are struggling. Polvara isn't the answer, I hope kjarten is long term but for this season. We need a Ramadan / Ferguson type. Much as I hate devlin at hearts, that's exactly what we need even pirlo had a gattusso beside him.

Potential banana skin averted. Only plus point. Throwing different players at the same tactics isn't going to solve anything. Need to deliver the fucking ball. Not many pass marks TBH. Thought nisbet worked hard despite getting nothing to attack and nilsen broke up things really well in that last ten minutes. Topi had a many decent moments as frustrations today and that's positive for him. Other than that, nobody really grasped the nettle today. Cameron decent but I'd be just as happy seeing Clarkson at 10. What happened to the wee guy that came in from Liverpool ?
-
I really struggle to see why mitov is still between our sticks. That pass to Clarkson
-
Last time I seen him he was a centre mid who tried to control the game for Dundee unless there's two of him.
-
Good opportunity for Cameron to come in and take shinnies place. Hopefully he's up to speed.
-
Totally agree. He'd probably be in tears. Clearly a kid who never got a slap from his maw
-
This team could go down because they're clueless all over.
-
Miserable and predictable. Not a shot on target. That midfield needs gutting. No pace or bite. Unless it's in our own box of course !!
-
I've seen surman and he has presence. Nothing to lose. Mad to keep him in after Tuesday against the same opposition.
-
How the fuck does mitov keep his place?
-
I can't get too excited now knowing that the guy making the decision was put in place by a consultancy we got in that he worked with previously. He'll no doubt copy some blueprint that removes all creativity and drums up predictable mediocrity and a safe but dull appointment. Or am I being harsh on consultants assuming they act in football like they do everywhere else.
-
Will we ever learn that you don't score from corners by all standing on the goal line
-
Half time. Terrible goals to give away. Could've scored a couple too. Still a bit soft and disjointed. Young boys look like the occasion is a bit much for them especially with the added pressure of a new coach. Defensively I'll give them time to work on better tactics but mitov totally undermines any good work. Easily cost us a dozen points this season already.

Possibly first time in front of a crowd that size. Just needs to calm down. Has made great runs.
-
Just get him tae fuck
-
I do, Mikey has turned into a right good player. Does all the hard work. Great ball winner and has a bit of quality.
-
I think brown is a decent shout as his own man. Has done well at Ayr. My outside punt would be my beloved Gary naismith. Great job at east fife then moved to a basket case at QOS. Then came to stenny, steadied the ship, won their first title in 140yrs in bottom tier. Straight into play offs last year and sitting at the top of the league this year on a shoestring with a host of full time teams in league one. Knows how to get results and rebuild a squad every year. Yes it's a couple of leagues up but I don't know if a more consistently performing Scottish manager. Which uses wingers BTW. He also had a career that demands respect from anyone in our squad. Just a stray thought away from the guys sacked twenty times and won nothing.
-
Absolutely not. Clueless when he was at ochilview. Loved the guy and he was great helping the youth coaches but on the pitch it was a disaster.
