2023/24 fixtures already announced. Brechin City will be desperate to win again this year to try and get out of league after getting close last year.

Buckie fucked by the establishment?

Apparently they were all warned about this back in December

Nonetheless totally pissed off that the chicken fraudster has the chance  to take a team into league fitba

Buckie now contradicting SFA statement  saying they had been in dialog with SFA and had been given a deferral to 15th May. Not only that there are 5 league clubs with entry level licences including Airdrie who are in play off place for promotion to premier league.

Brora won league today on goal from Brechin City. Hopefully they beat East Kilbride in play off as don’t want that cunt Kenned* to get any success. Plus ground is awful. Bonnyrigg have looked a shambles in last few weeks and cannot see them winning play off so Brora winning highland/lowland league play off looks only way of stopping East Kilbride.

* Yes that cup game still hurts.

Aye, although that has to be weighed against having another team with a Hun name.

We just call them Brora same as Cove.

So how does the promotion/relegation work? What if Brora beat a lowland side, ie Bonnyrigg in the play-offs? Does the Lowland League expand by 1 to accommodate Bonnyrigg ?

If Brora go up and Bonnyrigg drop into Lowland league there will be an additional team relegated. At the moment that would be Broomhill and Gala but with 3 games left Berwick, Gretna and Cumbernauld all still could go down if Bonnyrigg lose play off.

Brora are away to East Kilbride on 26th April and home on 3rd May.

I cannot believe anyone at Brora would want the club to get into League Two.  Apart from Elgin, who might even get promoted out of that league, every away game would be an 8 hour round trip. Not only very costly but would be extremely difficult to convince anyone to sign for them with all of that travel during a season.

^^Agree, think the clubs that have left are the only ones you'd think could make it work in the lower Scottish leagues, maybe add Fraserburgh to that list, otherwise your Broras,Buckies ...etc surely not worth the hassle

Brora allegedly want to go up this season as they feel the prize money should offset the travel expenses. Banks of Dee are other team allegedly with ambition for promotion along with Brechin.

Most of fans of division 3 teams I have spoke to want Bonnyrigg to stay up as a preference and if not that they want Brora up as they all hate East Kilbride and their plastic stadium.

From hinging aroon the bottom of the league with Rothes, Lossie, Locos 😂 and other üntermenschen in the first half of the season, Keith FC are now breathing the thinner air of 9th place. In the scramble to their current lofty eyrie, they have stubbornly and stoically taken points, in turn, from the heavy-spending title challengers Brora, Brechin, the Broch, Pitmedden, Clach, and the entitled Banks O Dee.

Craig Ewen is not available, Mr Cormack.

Brechin City beating Brora yesterday keeps title race on with City 6 points behind Brora with 3 games in hand.

Highland League lost it's appeal to me once the likes of Brechin City were allowed to join it.

In it's defence I had a pie at Buckie Thistle once before a pre-season game and it was rare.

This is last season in the Highland league for Brechin City. If the fail to get promoted they will transfer to the lowland league East next season due to restructuring. From next year the lowland league is splitting into East and West. The Midland league (old Tayside Juniors) will switch from feeding into Highland league to feeding into lowland league with East of Scotland league and Highland Lesgue will just have the North League and North Caledonian League feeding into it.

A wise and welcome change.

Means after this year there is a three way play off before the winner plays team 42 but does cut the travel for Highland league teams a bit.

Think for Brechin it will increase total travel as most Lowland league East teams are South of the Forth at the moment but possibility of being joined by Hill of Beath from Fife and Jeanfield from Perth if they do move to lowland league East.

And another Maroons scalp of the money-laden title chasers tonight.
Keith 2 (Jordan Cooper, Horace Ormsby) Rollstud Pitmedden 1 (Neither know nor care)

You owe us pints, Brechin.
