Seems like you got the final you were hoping for ID.  Havent watched it yet, decided not to bother for the first time in years, probably because of the inevitability of it. Have it recorded though and it sounds a watch.

I went to bed early in the hope of waking to see it, woke with 3:44 to play in the fourth. That was still plenty, what a finish.

Jaysus...............I'd hate to be an Atlanta fan this morning.

Yip, they Hibs'd it.

Watched the whole game, first time I have ever watched a whole game, just because I had squares I bought at work, won $50 on the score at the end of the 4th quarter. Of course I was supporting Atlanta, play and Red and White and I could not support a team called England.

Fair play to the yanks, that was a great game! Nice being able to watch it during the day for a change. Well, minimised screen at work of course  ;)

I didn't know who was in the final, how they got there, who was favourite, I'd never heard of any of the players etc. but because it followed the football and wasn't a big build up before kick off, and probably because of the enthusiasm of the four dudes on the BBC panel, decided to tune in for a while.

Got hooked. Found myself wanting the Eagles to win (simply cos the underdog) and absolutely loved it, a thrilling contest that meant I got to bed 3 hours later than I was planning to, the first NFL game I'd seen for 20+ years.

Still wouldn't be inspired to watch NFL regularly but that was the perfect game to watch. Half time show was pathetic. Their I love Jesus shit was disappointing. And the winning QB's baby daughter seemed to have a disturbing growth on the top of her head.

May I suggest giving Redzone a try when the season starts back up, all the main action from the games and no breaks, just switching to where something is happening, helped me get massively in to it after years of saying it was shit, also taking in a game in person (Eagles @ Tampa) made me love the sport even more.

Should we move this to the fitba forum to help the new arrivals feel at home? 😜

Noooooooooooooo. It's nae fitba. Note the shape 🏈 not ⚽

Another thing to add to my list of preferences of here over AbMad - this topic lives in the right place 🥳

Edit: This would wind me up way more than it should have

I think so.

I absolutely think that would be 100% appropriate.

Brian Daboll awa.

Giants making a habit of sacking coaches in season.

Daboll's results have been hopeless and he doesn't seem the easiest to work with, which is why I assume that (so far) he's the only one away and Schoen and especially Bowen are still there.

Anyone else pick the Dolphins in the 80s when the NFL arrived on Channel 4? Not withstanding a great result against the Bills on Sunday, fuck me I don’t I’ll ever see them back in a Super Bowl in my lifetime (and I’ve only just started the back 9 of mine!).

Try being a Jets fan! (I've always preferred the underdogs... probably because of the Dandies... so I went Mets, Jets, Knicks and Rangers when I moved here!)

Washington Commanders purely because the current stadium is so ramshackle so unlike the LA Rams the people attending the game actually watched it instead of disappearing into the glorifed shopping Mall that is the SOFI

Also the washington PA system wasnt working where I sat so was spared the 'IT'S THIRD DOWWWWWWNNNNNN!' Bullshit

Helps they they were one of the worst teams that season along with the Browns who I also look out for

Nah it’s non football so in the right place.

Despite my own pessimism 9ers are defying the injuries and now go into this weekends game with possibility of being number 1 seed. With the Super Bowl in Santa Clara gives them chance of playing run of home games all the way.

As it is I don’t think 9ers will make it all the way as defence just has too many injuries and gives up too many points. As someone once said defence wins Championships.

NFC West is wildly strong this season Rams are third on 11-5 record which would have them top of every other division in the NFC.

Well done to the Brochers in this year’s fantasy football and thanks as always to Sneckie for all the organising 👍🏻

Seattle v New England in Super Bowl. Don’t like either team. Enjoyed pregame stuff promoting San Francisco as a City (even though stadium is closer to San Jose) but not watching much more. Seattle 3-0 up after first drive.
