Kari Arnason

ABERDEEN FC this afternoon won their fight to sign Icelandic international Kari Arnason.

The Aberdeen team faced competition from at least one club in England for the 28-year-old former Plymouth Argyle player.

But Aberdeen FC boss Craig Brown beat them and Arnason will officially become a Dons player on Monday after undergoing a medical at Pittodrie.

And the Martians, untapped market there!

You missed out the Spaniards from Espanyol.

Knew I'd missed someone out.

Just shows how big a club afc still are, being able to set up all these links with clubs around the globe  ::)

Didn't we link up with some Aussie club in March or April?

Turns out Arnie now plays for Malmo, all the more reason to root for them

BBC claiming he is swedish too. Gotta love journalist accuracy

Lol, they clearly checked his Wiki!  Although there does seem to be some confusion as to where he was born, some say Reykjavik, others Gothenburg

Never forget the face when a few of us went to the Leyton Orient - Rotherham game a few years back.  He was the only one who smiled when we started signing at him. Other former dons looked petrified :D
