CRAIG Brown today vowed to win back the stay-away Red Army, by giving them a “winning” team at Aberdeen FC.

The average attendance at Pittodrie in the 2010/11 season was a lowly 9,129. It was the first time since the SPL began in 1998 that figure has dropped below the 10,000 mark.

The Red Army exodus saw the average attendance fall by 1,332 from last season’s 10,461.

Lowest crowds in years (I'll have to consult my "Roar of the Crowd" book to see when they were last as low as this but I'm thinking a long, LONG time ago)

So what do the board do?

Increase ST and Pay on the gate prices

The increase covers the increase in VAT and nothing more?
