English press reporting Pep Guardiola stepping down at the end of the season. Seems a bit odd announcing it before season is over.

The timing of this is shocking, now we'll have to spend a fortune paying Robinson's contract off

I was more thinking we will struggle to hold on to Robinson when City come calling.

Michael Carrick has been confirmed as Manchester United's "permanent" manager.

Imagine appointing the interim boss as the full time manager. What kind of diddy club would do that?

Manchester City officially confirm Pep Guardiola to step down.

Apparently naming the North Stand at the Emptyhad after him.

I read something yesterday, about the judgement of the 115 financial charges, against City, are to be made in the next few weeks.

I don't follow EPL much and don't follow the story, but I wonder if this has a bearing on his decison to exit.

Nice to see another big club follow our model.

Stupid decision, he'll be fired before Christmas

Arne Slot sacked by Liverpool a year after winning the league.

I don't get the mentality of some club owners.

Not that it's an excuse, but the death of Diogo Jota will have had an effect on that club last season. Did they expect to retain the title after that?

Only last week Slot was told to start process of getting in a new coach to add to the back room staff so this seems not to have been something that was on the cards. SSN suggesting that new Sporting Director Richard Hughes who has come in from Bournemouth is man who has made the decision and is looking to appoint out going Bournemouth coach Iraola.

Ah, correct decision if you ask me.  People said t the start of last season that if they managed to sign Isak then they would be untouchable yet they have finished 25 points off the top of the league.  Slot has just eroded everything that was good in that Liverpool side.  Liverpool are a shadow of the team they were under Klopp.  The dutch way of passing teams into a slow death reminds me of Van Gaal at Man Utd.  Slot's reign had a similar pattern to Thelin at the Dons in that the further on in time things went, with him able to stamp his style on the team and get his players in, the worse they became.
