John Bateman, anyone?

yep, according to the Record, we've taken former West Brom keeper John Bateman on trial. delighted we're at least looking for another keeper, but has anyone heard about this fella? ony use?

was playin in the locos game for about 10 mins. Nae bad actually. I remember there was a high ball coming in on the very edge of the area and this bakeman guy comes screamin off his line and nicks the ball in mid air.

He was recommended to us by Ryan Esson after an unsuccessful trial at Shrewsbury. He's only 18 so likely not going to be a first team player if taken on.

The more keepers we have, the more chance of clangers being told to GTF!

It's more the fact I can't really remember the last time we had a keeper who would list that as one of his skills........

I didn't really see the point in bringing him on against Locos.

 

Not as though he had much to do, and surely would have been better just to give him the whole game?

Indeed! Sign him now! Even if he's pish, he could teach that skill alone to our existing custodians.
