African Cup of Nations in Morocco starts this Sunday. Unbelievable Nigeria have not called up Peter Ambrose for their squad but Tribute Act, Victims, Hibs, Hearts, Motherwell and St Mirren all do have players going.

Opening game of this is tonight at 7pm with Morocco playing Comoros in Rabat. 

Morocco given the sort of penalty the bigots get in Scotland but keeper makes great save to to keep it at 0-0.

Some goal for the second. Decent game, the Moroccans look like a very good side.

First half had me thinking they were not as good as ranking suggested but second half they looked much better and as you say 2nd was a really good goal. 

Tomorrows games are:

Mali v Zambia at 2pm 

South Africa v Angola at 5pm

Egypt v Zimbabwe at 8pm

Scottish interest in 2pm with Chaiwa from Hibs playing for Zambia and 8pm with Maswanhise from Motherwell playing for Zimbabwe. 

Mali v Zambia game is being played in almost empty stadium. 

2nd penalty of the tournament awarded to Mali but like last night Zambia keeper saves it. 

Finished 1-1 with Zambia equalising in injury time with a diving header. 

Second game was won 2-1 by South Africa. First time Angola have not won their opening game. 
 

Zimbabwe currently 1-0 up on Egypt in late game. 
 

Egypt scrape passed Zimbabwe 2-1 with a Mo Salah 91st minute winner.

Senegal won second game 3-0 but really should have been more. Miles ahead of Botswana. 
 

Nigeria beat Tanzania 2-1 in a game that was a lot closer than I was expecting. 

Tunisia comfortable 3-1 winners over Uganda in final game. 

4 games again today as alternative to the Christmas tv.

Had hoped to catch some of this today when most of the family fucked off, but hadn’t accounted for my wife telling my boys they could come downstairs and watch home alone on the tv 🤦‍♂️ been any good?

I mind seeing D’Jaffo score against Hearts at Pittodrie, flicked finish if I recall correctly?

First game has been a bit shit. Equatorial Guinea down to 10 but Burkina Faso not not been able take advantage.

Wild finish to game though with Equatorial Guinea taking lead with 5 minutes left but Burkina Faso manged ro win game by scoring twice in injury time. 

Algeria 1-0 up at half time and Sudan reduced to 10 men. With some of tackles they have been putting in I will be surprised if they reach 90 with 10. 

Finished 3-0 to Algeria. 

Senegal win 3rd game 1-0 in torrential rain. Senegal on top for most of game and should have won by more.

Cameroon beat Gabon 1-0 in final game of the day. Entertaining game and meant avoided most of the Christmas tv.
