swaddon Posted Friday at 16:20 Report Posted Friday at 16:20 Jimmy's team travel to the Home of the Set Fare Arena in Livingston for a Sunday game at 3 pm. Livi are bottom of the league and desperate for a win. I don't think they'll get one, but neither will we. I fancy a boring 0-0 draw. Quote
OrlandoDon Posted Friday at 16:37 Report Posted Friday at 16:37 Absolutely impossible to predict. While we aren’t crap for an entire game, I can only think of one game, Dundee at home, where we played reasonably well for most/all game. i think this is a biggie, although they all seem to be these days. Dundee livi killie st Mirren below us, killie can beat utd, livi beat us, and Dundee play st mirren. Bottom 4-5 could get more compact. above us, I predict wins for Celtic rangers and hearts, so a win for us brings us closer to the immediate teams in the top half of the league. win lose, it’s 50/50, heart says 2-1 us, nisbet and karlsson. 1 Quote
BigAl Posted Friday at 22:40 Report Posted Friday at 22:40 In M77 & M8 Away End Journey In Reverse 1-1 Devlin The management and team on the park owe us a performance. Unfortunately I'm far from convinced that we'll get it I can but hope Quote
Goldie03 Posted Friday at 23:38 Report Posted Friday at 23:38 Ooh I'm in too for a change Train Shopping maybe or pub with Jute Trying to get back to civilisation from West Lothian Haggis might get a look in 3 nil dons Nisbet hattrick Quote
Panda Posted yesterday at 00:22 Report Posted yesterday at 00:22 First game this season I'm not looking to. I'm just so bored with this team at the moment. I've a dentist appointment on Wednesday I'm looking forward to more than the Dons game that night. I'll watch if we play this team. Lobban would usually be my first pick but Id be inclined to not overplay him, especially with the number of games we have coming up in December. Nisbet generally plays deep anyway so let him do that, Lazetic and Karlsson central, Clarkson pinging passes for fun. Quote

Would put Nisbet alongside Lazetic and have Karlsson behind them and get him told to cut out the fancy shyte, when a simple pass would suffice. Karlsson has the skills to bring a bit of magic to a game, but needs to concentrate of the basics to help his team mates more. Livi might be bottom, but Martindale always has his teams organised and they work hard, playing until the final whistle. The noise around us will intensify if we get beat in this one, which I don't think we will. Quote
blinlemon Posted yesterday at 10:59 Report Posted yesterday at 10:59 Compensatory penalty to Meadowbank guaranteed this weekend as a makeweight for greetin cheatin Beaton’s ‘error of judgement’ at the Hundome last week. Hun bonus point for disadvantaging the sheepshaggers. Bowler hats in the air. Quote
The.Moog Posted yesterday at 11:55 Report Posted yesterday at 11:55 Guaranteed this one is gonna be an absolutely eye bleeding shitfest, which will remind us all of why we want Livi nowhere near this league. If we’re gonna get a win, and it’s a big if as we always struggle there, its gonna be a repeat of the Killie & St Mirren wins - sneak a goal and backs to the wall for certainly most of the second half at least. Which for me is absolutely unacceptable against teams like these with a fraction of our budget - but we are where we are. 0-0, 1-1, 0-1, something like that. What a time to be alive as a Dons fan… Quote
Elgindon Posted yesterday at 12:10 Report Posted yesterday at 12:10 Livi and Killie,....2 grounds Ive never been at,and no intention of going either. I dont think Livi are as tough as they have been in recent years.Still think we'll struggle though, and go along with one of the above drab scorelines, probably happy just not to lose...... Quote

GASC1980 Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Ideally we should be looking at 9 points from the next 3 games. Hopefully a win tomorrow but as somebody else said it will be an eye bleeding contest. £30 for the privilege. Ridiculous price. Quote
Jute Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago Hate going to Livingston. Completely soulless place. Pubs are pish and train stations are miles from ground and centre. Add to that my 11 year old is insisting we take her shopping before hand. I really hate going to Livingston. Really need to be winning this one. As I have said for a few weeks now would really like us to try Lazetic and Nisbet as a two as when they play as lone strikers they look isolated from midfield. Do we go back to 4 at the back for this one? Next 4 league games are against 4 teams below us. Really need to be taking maximum points to get us up the league. In train then pub away end hike back to train 2-0 Nisbet and Lazetic 1 Quote
tlg1903 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago I've only been to livi once, 1-0 win with a late goal from church I think. Had a few beers in the bar under the main stand and it wasn't spectacular by any stretch but it wasn't awful either. I actually quite liked the ground itself. For a lego stadium you're nice and tight on the pitch and there's no gaps. The pitch is god awful though. Not feeling great about this one 2bh. Livi will keep it tight and their Yenghi is actually handy. We need to score first I think. Out Rtv No idea on score but would take any kind of win quite happily. Quote
manc_don Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Feels like it has 0-0 written all over it but I hope to fuck there were some seriously stern words after thursdays performance. Think the most frustrating thing about this team is there are moments when we can score goals like we did on Thursday, but it’s our inability to do any of this with any level of relative consistency. Their form at home isn’t great but our form in general is pretty honking. At least the defence seems to be the area of least concern. out bed bed work 0-0 Quote
blinlemon Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago My only trip to that Meccano-based tip was in Ebbe’s day. We drew 0-0 which guaranteed a place in the Eurovision Song Contest or something. Darren Young was sent off, and we played for over 80 minutes with ten men. What a soulless artificial shitehole. Meadowbank was much better. A Proper Mannies’ brutalist, pre-Glasnost Budapest, Iron Curtain reinforced concrete gem. A great boozer nearby too. Unfortunately, the Maroons lost 3-1 to Edinburgh City in the Scottish Cup. Boo. tlg1903 Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago This situation really is quite bizarre when I think about it. We haven't lost in over a month, our last league game we beat the league leaders yet no-one is overly confident about going to the bottom of the table team and getting a win. Quote

That is what this current team/squad of ours has reduced us to. The optimism from after the cup final is long gone. Quote
Nordicus Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago don't really understand why they installed a new artificial pitch for this season when they knew in another year grass would be mandatory , unless I am mistaken Quote
Blow.Up.Sheep Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago said it before and will say it again. Start with Nisbet and Lazetic up front and we will win this comfortably. But start with the usual boring as fuk lineup and tactic from our boring as fuk manager and it will be 0-0 at best quite possibky 1 or 2 nil to Livi Quote
tlg1903 Posted 59 minutes ago Report Posted 59 minutes ago Back to a back 4, could be a 4231 or a 433. Quote

We played a 4-3-3 for part of the game on Thursday, so wouldn't be surprised to see it again. However, in my opinion it needs to be 4-2-3-1. Of course, it's probably going to be a back three, with Shinnie at wing back. 1 Quote
swaddon Posted 44 minutes ago Author Report Posted 44 minutes ago The Beeb has it as a 3-4-2-1 with Lazetic up front. Quote
