Seem to remember Sunderland fans saying about Aouchiche that he was a handy looking player in a team that was performing well but less effective when in a team that was struggling.

To me, this sums up his time with us so far.

On the basis of his time to date with us so far, there is no way we'll be parting with £1.5m on him

The best thing about it is that it applies to attacker and defender equally, and by nature of the challenge, they both have to be roughly the same distance from the ball. Imagine Aouchiche had barged the big lad out the way, and smashed it in, because the defender was a fanny? That'd be amazing. Odds are always stacked in favour of the defender, but that's okay. 

Removing the shoulder charge would be up there with installing VAR. You should all be ashamed. 

The game has changed significantly since we were kids Rico.

Especially if he was to use his foot to knock him over it's a foul.

It might be in the rules. But if it is, I'm saying it's a shite rule.

Let's be honest, if he had used his hand to push him over we wouldn't be having this conversation.  I don't see why it's any different because he used the top of his arm instead of the bottom to take Aouchiche out.  Regardless though, Adil should have done better in the first place imo but it is what it is.

You're right. It gets harder and harder for players to shoulder charge since they had to slice off their unnatural arms a few years back.

Still raging I didn't get into the arm slicing off business when it was in it's infancy.
