I think he probably deserves at least the January transfer window, and it'll be the first with a sporting director. And if you're giving him that, then you're essentially giving him until April, unless the form becomes terrible again.

I do have my doubts now. Some really poor decision making coming from Thelin; namely I don't think he's used the squad well enough this season, and I think the tactics are wrong. But I have not lost faith with him the same way I did with Goodwin and Robson.

We're in December, we no longer have the European games, and there's still a lot to play for - third is still very much there, and should we be any less confident about winning the cup than we were at this stage last season?

So I'm still backing him for now, but a bit pissed off with him.

^^Think thats about where Im at with him now.For all the investment,we're such a (mostly) disappointing watch. The window,with the help of Luts and Mowbray gives him breathing space to bolster the weaker areas,and the emergence of Kjartansson and Bilalovic offer a bit of hope going forward

Whatever happened to Jimmy's friendship with Alex Ferguson? They were best pals when Jimmy first arrived (before Fergie then got pally with Russel Martin).

You’ve got a bee in your bonnet about Fergie and Martin

They were never ‘best pals’, Fergie keeps up with everyone in Scottish fitba. Robinson was waxing lyrical the other day about getting congratulations after the cup final.

He’s the elder Scottish statesman putting his arm around everyone and I love him for it

I'm just surprised he would set foot in Ibrox again after the way he was treated as a player and the carry-on he had with them when he married a Catholic.

But maybe he doesn't hold grudges like I do.

Those suggesting his time is up (and I did around end of Sept) are in for disappointment

His tendering of his resignation has already been rejected TWICE.

I like him and I’m over the moon he won us the cup but we were shite when he arrived & been shite ever since. Even when we win we’re shite. 
We were shite during that winning streak, we were shite during that losing streak, shite in Europe and shite during the cup run which we eventually won playing shite 

There’s easy fixes he could make right now and he won’t do it, so the future is shite.

This kind of made me laugh but not really as quite an accurate summing up.

I'm glad I didn't see any of it today, cinema & panto were much better entertainment.

I cannot bear the thought of having to recruit another manager tho we do seem to be stuck in quite a rut - but potentially 6 managers in 6 different seasons ffs!!"

Disappointing as today was, a 3-1 defeat with two goals in the last six minutes, having played with ten men at Parkheid for forty nine minutes is hardly going to be the sword he is going to fall upon anyway

Agree on that, today was a free hit in a way, not really expecting to take points at Celtic, obviously their form gave us hope.

next three games are huge, ideally 9 points, to set us up for the rangers double header. They are nowhere near as good as Celtic and we need to be on form for that. Potential battle for third!

I’m still firmly in the ‘desperately want it to work but increasingly unconvinced it will’ camp. Im trying to find excuses in my head every time we come out like a drunk boxer for first half after European games, why we don’t seem to have a set 11 and endlessly tinker, don’t give players a look in then bring them on at Parkhead, can’t defend balls into our box, can’t play out from back, play Jensen in every position on the pitch and he still runs forward, stops and runs back, Karlsson cuts in and smashes a shot of the first defender, Lazetic can’t play anywhere except in the pocket of the biggest centre back……the frustrations go on. Massive 5 games coming. Will determine whether we are battling to be the best of the bottom 6 or genuinely competing for 3rd. I’m not convinced it’ll be the latter at this stage.
