Dons vs st mirren

Last game of the year, and saints are pretty much in free fall. If there was a time to play them, much like well, this is it. Their stuttering form is probably not too dissimilar to ours so this could go either way. Hopefully the weather has calmed down by Saturday too, could do without having to play another game at an inopportune moment.

Our form against them has been patchy at best of late, but we did manage to pump them 3-0 earlier in the year, a rare win for Robson post contract.

Absolutely ridiculous that we've had no games in ages, and they get to play three games in 8 days. Completely unfair advantage for them.

3 wins out of 4 in the league this month 2bf and 4 wins out of 6 for December overall.  Patchy at best seems a wee bit harsh 2bh.

Very confident going into this one, think we will win quite comfortably and I really hope Miovski gets a goal or two given this will probably be his Pittodrie swansong.

Our recent form against Saints is patchy at best(ie what Manc meant).

Might be away this w/e,but In if that changes. Current sticky patch for Saints,or wheels coming off?,... like Robinsons Well side.An early goal and we could get a few if Robbo doesnt shut the door again like Livi 🤔

  Prediction 3 - 0 Dons Miovski,Duk,McGrath

St Mirren are another team who are on a rotten run with only 2 wins in last 10 and only scoring 5 in that period. This is another that we should be winning comfortably at home. It will be 5 at the back with two holding mids as always. Last game before the window and probably the start of the the bids for Miovski. More rain predicted for Saturday so might be more transport issues. Going to be Saturday morning before I make a decision on heading up.

We don't play two holding mids, it's usually Clarkson behind Shinnie and one other (usually McGrath). There is good reason to suggest that playing two holding mids would be a much better strategy.

Helen have had a rotten December, 4 points from 18, so we have every right to be expecting a win.  Not sure what to expect team wise either though Robson did say that he was getting 3 days in a row on the training pitch with them for the first time in 4 months.  That could see some tactical changes perhaps but time will tell.

If we score early I think we could have a fun game, 4-0 dons Miovski, mcgrath, Clarkson and Duk

Yellow weather warning for tomorrow. Just putting it out there…

That'll teach that dirty wee shite Barron for not signing a contract! Dropped without playing a game. Shame, would like to have seen him get another run out. Looking forward to seeing Clarkson in the number six role and McGarry tripping over his shins.

I answered this on the other thread. Edinburgh v Glasgow in the rugby.

Disgraceful start to this game.

Them missing the penalty doesn't change that.

Quarter of the game gone.

Aberdeen zero attempts at goal

St Mirren have had four.

It really isn't that hard to pass the ball to a guy in a bright red shirt surely?

Surely a pen. I don't understand why var wouldn't check that. Just because he seen it doesn't mean he never fucked up the call.

Passing been woeful,as has Shinnie. Get him off Barron on

Thanks for the European trips Barry but please just face facts and do the decent thing.

This is dismal stuff.  Merry Christmas.

A bit unfair on Robson, very few coaches can make Gogic look like prime Baresi.

Utter rubbish. No pass marks today. Midfield rotten, strikers anonymous again and our defence is consistently inconsistent.

Time to start over. Get in an actual coach with a style of play.

It's also irrelevant but VAR has fucked us again. On the penalties front.

If we concede the league now, can we keep 8th place?

Baz getting it easy because everybody had already fucked off.

DC had to see that empty pittodrie and realise that the goodwill has gone.
