Can I just play Devil`s Advocaat here. If what Robbo is saying is true then I personally wouldn`t miss Chris Clark (must be the most overrated Aberdeen player in history!) and Stevie Lovell as much as I like him hasn`t done it enough to warrant an improved contract.
Of course losing Mickey Hart, Seve and Baz Nic would be a massive blow and even now can`t see where they`d go to better their chances of winning some silverware in their career but we`d ssurvive like we always have. Let`s say Hart does go to Celtic is that really showing any ambition? Going to The Old Firm to sit on the bench and get the odd game against lower league teams in the Cups ain`t my idea of a wonderful time playing football. Yes I know it`s all about money but what is annoying me most if the rumour mill is to be believed is that these players mentioned amognst others have built something good over the past three to four years and in all honesty can`t say they`ve been a success until they`ve won something together yet are all too happy to dismantle the good work by JC and let the fans down when it suits them.
I love the club to pieces but we are never going to go anywhere if we don`t have a sustained period of stability. Surely having to start from scratch every five years or so is something those at the top of the club realise will delay the progress of the operation in making us a force to be reckoned with again?
Take Care!

unfortunately money talks nowadays (fuckin guffs and sky tv) and there aren't many players out there who want to win thing instead of going for the coin

I think there should be some kind of forfeit applied if it turns out your full of shit.
i agree
any suggestions

When I was a lad, a tiny wee lad, my mother said to me,
"Come see the Dons, they're glorious Dons, Down at Pittodrie."
She called them the heavenly dancers, merry dancers in the sky,
I'll never forget that wonderful sight, down at Pittodrie!
great stuff. never understood why this isnt played when the teams come out to get the fans going.
-
I would prefer it if they had Northern lights playing and timed to cut out as it goes into "when I was a lad" so everyone joins in singing
would love AFC to do this.
this song being sung by a full house would leave the hairs on yer neck standin.
-
pittodrie has a great atmosphere when the south stand is full of reds.
this will be great..
-
hat off to Langfield for sticking with us.
hopefully he stops the clangers permanently
-
well from a different point of view if they dont want to be at AFC they can fuck right off
-
Willie Miller was in the EE todasy spouting that money may a problem with those who were offered new deals.
i did think it was odd coming out with that if he hadnt had a response from any of the players.
-
I can assure you, everything I've been told by this specific source has happened. I'd brace yourself for it happening, because it looks like it will.
i thought Lovell would go,
losing Hart and Barry Nich will be massive blows for us.
-
Don't shoot the messenger, and I can't reveal how I know all this but the source is a coach for Aberdeen and he's very good friends with a lad I know...........
Hart, Nicholson, Clark, Severin and Lovell all leaving the club
Diamond and langfield are signing new contracts
Hart has apparently been offered more money by 3 other SPL clubs (Motherwell, Hibs and another) plus english clubs, he is going in Jan and our offer is the same as he is getting before no increase
Surprised about Barry Nic tho, thought he would stay, we need to get players in!!
i dont beleive you. you are a liar

Cult hero has to be big Willem. He looked ungainly and even shite at times but you could never fault the fecker for effort.
agreed

ha ha. i just said the exact same thing to my boss.
-
good to see Aluko on the scoresheet.
give him a go upfront with Miller on saturday
-
I think we'd tell them to fucking ram it.
i would like to think so.
-
Surely rules out Larsson then
-
i just noticed that we play Rangers the saturday before their possible last 16 2nd leg tie. could be interesting
-
So by the looks of it nobody's ACTUALLY signed anything despite the reports last night.
Not like the EE to get a head of themselves...Fingers crossed all works out well in the end though as getting extended deals for the likes of these guys is vital.
true.
i notice Charlie Allan slagged the fans off last week but this week the headline is there will no new big signings in January.
hardly the headline to get fans racing for a season ticket is it
-
i didnt want us to ask as i was like ajja. i wanted us to take the moral high gorund here but now that i think about it i am now glad we have asked and we have shown the SPL up for what it is. a joke organisation.
never in my life have i wanted Rangers to lose as badly as i do now.
-
I think I know what you're getting at, , but do you not think that if we'd opened up a bit more and were a bit more gung-ho in our approach we may have easily lost that game? We were a bit stand-offish at times in the game, but you can't be throwing yourselves into challenges in European competition.
Remember, this team has little European experience.
i know what your are saying and i didnt mean throwing challenges in left right and centre but i meant get into them alot more than we did.
-
Just as long as you know.
Seriously though, do you not think they were technically brilliant? Some of their one-touch passing in the game was fantastic, even more-so when you take into account how windy it was that night
yes some of their passing was great to watch but IMO we gave them too much respect.
-
Not if you're from the Broch
booo
Who should be captain?
