It hardly ruined his career VDA just his final game.
Probably Anton Rogan, Mark walters played for the other half of the axis of evil
No surprises there
just realised what i'd wrote. i meant his final game.
-
Best = the Paul Mason cup final
Worst = the 2000 cup final when Leightons career was ruined.
-
Why? We won one match. Do you think in 5 years time people will be saying "Let's watch the Dons getting pumped by Panathanaikos, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich... those were the days".
we havent had a run in Europe like that and aways trips like that for years and if we are honest might not have another for quite a while. i'd buy it for the highlights of the Copenhagen and Bayern game alone.
-
Game against Man U, a Gala dinner for the fans and a commerorative DVD. Nae too shabby, would have fancied a game against Real instead but it will be a sellout at Pittodrie anayway.
release a DVD of the latest Euro adventure too

I also remember the various chants towards Darren Jackson following his brain scare...
as do i

I totally agree. But I think we all know what he is and so our defenders should not allow him to be in a situation to take advantage like that.
or referees could actually tell him to stop being a diving little prick.
speaking about refs who remembers the time willie young gave 3 pens to celtic in 1 half when we beat them at pittodrie. the 3rd one was an insane decision.
-
After watching the highlights I thought the penalty was a bit soft but it was our own fault for going into him like that when he was going away from goal. Can't comment on the rest of his performance as i wasn't there.
i know what your are saying but footballs a physical game (apparently) the slightest touch and that little cunt was going down.
-
Good news IMO.
Miller and Lovell upfront with Jamie SMith on the wing.
-
i dont beleive all refs are pro OF but Willie Young once said on radio scotland that refs had favoured the home side at Ibrox or Park heed for fear of fans back lash.
-
we cant dump seve, his long throw ins are menacing
-
I hope he is
Could be that some folk are confusing a extremely vocal minority for the majority of Dons fans.
i know what you mean but it seems to me that more and more fans (not just on internet forums) have had enough.
-
Which is fairly petty in my opinion. The players aren't speaking to you Charlie, how about doing your job and trying some journalism for a change instead of expecting to get all your stories from phone calls to your mates at Pittodrie.
I agree with K9 regarding a complete ban of anyone from AFC speaking to the rag, but its a bit difficult when WM and JC are employed by Aberdeen Journals.
it is funny that last week Lovell was his viallain of the week and this week he has him in the "its been a good week for" bit.
seve incidentally is in his villain of the week bit for not talking to him.
-
Good.
Hopefully it will breed some form of siege mentality at the club.
doubt it considering JC and WM have already said they want this to stop.
WM was quoted saying he wont allow it to go on for too long
-
Well its nae the majority of fans.
are you sure of this.
-
theres a small paragraph on the back page that has a small headline saying
"dons in the huff day 5"
-
Wish he would talk his own team up instead of worrying about opposition. But whilst no great shakes i wish he would concentrate on us and keep his mouth shut and stop bigging up the old firm constantly as just alienating our own support even further.
said the same thing on saturday when reading his newspaper interviews.
-
Jimmy said on the radio the Lovell injury came from the incident with McGregor which was near the end of the game.
someone on MAd claims they spoke to Lovell and he hopes to be back for the weekend.
heres hoping

7th. but we will win the Scottish cup

*puts tin hat on*
Sick fed up of Mackie getting boo'd. Doesn't matter what anybody thinks of his abilities, he's clearly low on confidence and booing him is hardly going to help. Its not his fault he's getting a game.
What Zander doesn't realise is that folk were cheering because he was going off. Cretins in my opinion.
you are right. its not his fault he plays. so booing the fact he's on the park or cheering when he leaves would let the manager know they are not happy Jc has selected him.
fans pay there cash and are therefore entitled to voice there opinion.
-
Teams at the top end (motherwell and dungdee ushited) always have empty grounds and no fans. So since ourselves, hibs and hearts have been challenging at the wrong ends of the table, i'm not surprised.
gretna are on at home against one of the filth. the stadium will be at most half full
-
So you mean he could be the answer to our goal scoring problems? Or maybe replace Langfield and Souter?
where ever the tombola decides
-
i noticed setanta have gone back to their rangers 1 week Celtic the next routine.
-
surprised Jc didnt go for him.
played in defence and midfield = versatile
