I hear Barry was in one of the Sunday papers hinting that he would be off in the summer. Don't know which paper.
Jc in most sunday papers saying that Barry wouldnt like the championship as its all long ball stuff which wouldnt suit him.
hope he stays but cant see it. he will want his retirment fund
-
I thought he was cup tied but just for the replay but I'm no entirely sure. If he is playing the baw is gonna be sare.
our defence didnt cope well with the last big oaf at hearts.
-
I know what you mean but having listened to some of it and talked to my Arab mate, they created loads of chances to win the game, I don't think that could be said about St Mirren when we played them. They did make chances but nowhere near as clear cut as the Saints had against the jutes.
Fucking get in! Zander, first minute, Noel Hunt, get it done.
i cant wait for this game but i just worry which AFC will turn up.
it will either be a night to remember or we will all walk out really pissed off.
-
Lets get fired right into them.
Apparently St Mirren were all over them at the weekend.
st mirren were all over us last time too.
but i agree GET IN TE THEM

I am looking forward to going to the Bayern game - and I wont be attending it with the mindset of - Oh fuck this will be shit tonight we're going to get humped. If I went with that approach then it would lessen my enjoyment of the night.
Yes Bayern are a machine like team with an array of talent - but there are 11 of them. Same number of players we have. They have no stability just now due to Hitzfeld being on the way out and their dressing room is a shambles.
If anything they are as vulnerable as Copenhagen to an upset. That is why there is a glimmer of hope.
100% agree. theres always that chance no matter the ooposition

Totally missing my point...... I meant can't believe there are so many optimistic folk about that think we can beat one of Europe's top teams o'er two legs.
Simple really ain't it.
P.S what impact do you think your repetitive exclamation mark adds to your response
whats wrong with being optimistic. upsets happen alot. why not us this time?
no problem with your opinion by the way. thats u to you.
i think we have a chance at pulling of a great upset.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Cannae believe there are so many folk on here that seem to think we even have the remotest possibility of progressing beyond Munchen in the UEFA Cup.
sorry folks, but we are in for a right royal arse reaming
i know its a total disgrace having a different opinion to someone else. how fucking dare we do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

League - 5th
CIS - runners up
Scottish Cup - runners up
UEFA - last 16 (yes i'm serious)

That's him signed for Motherwell now. Looks like Dan Smith is away. Is Richie Byrne the only left footed outfield player in our squad now?
yes
scary isnt it
-
i have a feeling this guy will turn out good for us
-
Bobby Williamson to take over according to Hat.
Actually, not rofl, it fucking better not happen!
if you had read that post properly you would notice that it was posted as a laugh and taken from aberdeenMAd.
it wont happen.

Kurrant was a midfielder wasn't he? no wonder he left since jimmy doesn't know what a midfield is.
funny how none of us even know which positions half of the players jimmy looks at play.
-
As much as I have some sympathy with Calderwood's view that we need to back the team, he knew what the finances of the club were when he came.
They are, if anything, worse. Get real Jimmy, the board won't give what the club can't afford and no amount of moaning or veiled threats about leaving will make Milne change his mind about opening either his wallet or purse strings.
beat me to it.
totally agree
-
I'd hazard to guess that if JC did leave, there'd be a larger section cheering his departure than those commiserating his loss. Just my opinion though.
agree to disagree then. i reckon its a minority that want him out now.
-
So you know it isn't then?
i've only heard a few AFC fans saying they want rid of JC and a small minority on forums.
this is all the evidence i have seen
-
FFS
Are you seriously telling me that JC has been accepted by Dons fans? *shrugs*
no he hasnt been accepted by all of them but you didnt say that. you posted that it was a large section of the dons support. i see no evidence of that.
-
So I take it you know the opinions of the majority of Dons fans?
no and i dont pretend to either. whats your point
-
Aye, because those are the only folks that want Jimmy out
so i take it you know the majority of dons fans opinions
-
And I think this has a huge bearing on why he may be considering leaving. Not being accepted by what appears to be a 'large' section of fans must get to him.
a small yet vocal minority on message boards is not a large section of supporters

I'll be particularly pissed off if Diamond goes.
He was atrocious last season, and was very much a bit-part player until a few months ago.
But we stuck by him, and how he's having a good season and we've offered him a contract. It would be nice to see some loyalty from a player now and again!
agreed.
the same could be said about Nicholson. he was posted missing at the beginning of his time at pittodrie. some would say he has been back to this in the last few games
-
Personally I blame the 67 that are staying away this season
Good post by the way mate
Cost is without doubt a huge issue, obviously made worse because of the number of games we are being faced with just now [ albeit wouldn't have it any other way ]
My son's mate and his father went down to a Bolton game o'er Xmas and paid £20 for the pair of them to get in. We went to Love Street on Sat and were £30 for us, and yesterday were £29 at Pittodrie.
Enough said
theres one significant difference between us and Bolton though. they are guarenteed a bumper cheque at the beginning of the season from sky so they can afford to do this. we get the scraps from the old firm after setanta hand out the tv cash
-
Willie Miller's already told him how much cash will be available. So what's the problem for JC? Perhaps he should sit down with the contract rebels and ask them what they are waiting for. Is it more money? Is it reassurance that JC will be there next season? What is it?
On another note, it's awesome to see Langfield (note I've dropped the C) has penned a new deal. I was one to slate him regularly at the beginning of the season and pretty much all of last season. Hell, I was one of the "Give Preece A Chance" brigade. Infact I think I was the only one in that brigade. I regularly called him Clangfield for his mistakes and wished we had a better keeper.
But I hold my hands up and say sorry to him, as he has established himself in my good books now. I think he might've taken Severin's spot! And to see his response to the first goal against Copenhagen was just immense. Wish we had more players with his sort of passion.
JC wont sign a new deal as he wants a move south fr the cash. its as simple as that. he knowwss the deal available to him and the amount of cash he will have to spend. if he was hapy with this he would sign now.
-
along with Leicester and Preston, according to the BBC Gossip column.
Think he'd jump ship to any of them?
no doubt about it.
he would want his payday.
and just for you again "damn english football and all its cash"

jagerdeens had it
BARRY NICHOLSON / LEE MILLER
in Aberdeen Football Club
Posted
did think the same thing to be honest.
cant fault JC for trying to persuade him to stay.
to be fair he also said in his interview that Barry wont get European football or big cup games down south too.
