  1. Dunno about Hayes, but from the pictures from training, Hayden Coulson was there.

Played, and scored, for Liverpool U21s tonight in a 3-2 loss to Accrington Stanley. Were already 2-0 down when he came on in the 63rd minute. Goal here:
  3. By all accounts he had a solid game v Napoli. However, Italian media reporting he has a "contusione al polpaccio", ie a bruised calf, and so is a doubt for the Coppa Italia game v Cagliari on Thursday.
  4. Made his first start for Bologna today away to Napoli. 2-2 with an hour played.
  5. Don't like to be the guy that moans after a win, but Hearts will be kicking themselves they lost that game. They missed at least three glorious chances, had more possession, passed the ball better than we did. Essentially they tired, we managed to exert ourselves more when they did, and got the goals, but a draw would probably have been a fair result. Duk excellent. Read someone above criticising Miovski but actually thought his work off the ball was good, and him & Duk complimented each other well. Barron & Clarkson lively and wanting involved in everything. Scales good too. Richardson though poor again. Set the tone early with a daft booking in the opening minutes. Ramadani, the assist apart, anonymous once more. We're still searching for our strongest XI, and also what system suits the players best.
  6. Hayes & Coulson injured apparently. One missing is a blow - both out is worrying. Two strikers though. Four central midfielders (or is McCrorie making it a five-man defence with two wing backs?) Be interesting to see how we line up. That actually looks quite an attacking team from Hearts. Might actually see a game of football break out today.
  7. Out of interest Jute where are you travelling from (although the username might be a giveaway I guess)
  8. Hearts have four defenders out. We have (bar Roberts) a fully fit team. They've also just been away in Italy. We absolutely should be winning this, regardless of the result and performance last week. Attack them and we'll score. Would be happy with this team. It's about time we started cloning players.

    Ramsay

According to a Liverpool journo, it's a minor injury and they reckon he'll be fit to play in the U21s cup match on Tuesday, which would be his first game since last season.
  10. By the way, this seems a good time to be a miserable bastard. See all the Duuuukkk and Roooooss stuff? They sound shite, and actually sounds like both are getting booed. I'll think up a decent chant for the pair of them before the weekend.
  11. He scored Celtic's first and let Giakoumakis get in front of him for the second. At fault for both goals. He better buck up his ideas in time for dealing with Haaland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers in March.
  12. He was at fault for both Celtic goals yesterday btw, for anyone getting sentimental.
  13. Lewis McCrorie Stewart Scales Coulson Barron Clarkson Watkins Lopes Ramirez Hayes Thst should be the team v Hearts by the way. Stewart & Scales only keeping their places because we haven't bothered signing anyone else in defence. Get McCrorie to right back. Let Barron & Clarkson form a midfield partnership. That front four can be any combination you like (lone striker, two up front, etc) but Lopes shouldn't be constantly on the bench like he's some sort of super-sub - on the evidence so far I'd say he's our best striker. Watkins I thought played okay first half, was surprised he was hooked.
  14. Surprised Ramadani getting off so lightly. Really poor game from him. Constantly outmuscled, poor decision making, too slow. We only got a hold of the midfield when Barron came on, then latterly when Clarkson replaced Ramadani. I was actually at Tynecastle on Thursday, and just home from Tannadice, so have watched both Aberdeen & Hearts be terrible within 48 hours of each other, so next week set to be a cracker.
  15. I've a rare Saturday off so heading up to it. United will raise their game so not expecting an easy one at all, especially with our defence still likely to gift cheap goals. Gonna go for an entertaining 2-1 win though for the good guys.
  16. He played the last 13 minutes of the 3-0 defeat to Juventus on Sunday, which is his first minutes for some time. That means he's played just 20 minutes of first team football, yet those have been at the San Siro & Juventus stadium.

    Ramsay

According to a Twitter post from Ramsay, he only started full training last week. They have a League Cup game at home to Derby at the start of November. Suspect that might be his debut.
  18. The coffin is being driven to the airport then flown to London, leaving at 18:55 to be precise. As you can imagine there'll be huge crowds in Edinburgh and all along the motorway to the airport. That's what is stretching the police's resources.
  19. I think (not sure) that there'll be no domestic football for two weeks. With the international break coming at the end of the month, that would mean no domestic football until October. So chances are that our next game v Rangers will actually be the one scheduled in for Ibrox on 29 October. And our next game is actually the return of Derek McInnes to Pittodrie on 1 October. All just speculation of course. But her funeral isn't for another 10 days and I can't see games going ahead before then.
  20. As for Saturday, Rangers' main strength is Kent creating space for Barisic down that left hand side, who then puts in crosses for Colac. Richardson hasn't been good defensively so far this season, and I fear Rangers will target him. Would have said McCrorie to right back, but with Clarkson now banned and Barron injured it leaves us a bit short in midfield, unless we pitch Polvara in.
  21. On the contrary, we had a very good team, and our weak point was defence. The strength of the league overall was also weaker than it is now. You'll never convince me he is or was a good player, because for every good thing you'll find he did, I'll find five bad ones.
  22. No, the correct thing to do would be to drop deep behind your team-mate and between the two attacking players. He did neither, he ran towards the ball. Because he's an idiot. Whether he's better than Stewart or not is neither here nor there. Even if he was twice the player of Stewart he is still not a good player.
  23. Completely disagree on Taylor. Throw a ball into the box and he'd head it away. But when a team played through Aberdeen he was constantly out of position, made the wrong decisions as to who to pick up, made rash challenges, and his passing was poor. "He's had a great start to the season with Killie". Two examples for the prosecution.. First, his "forgivable" red card. He gets caught out of position, is never going to make the ball, lunges in and leaves his team down to 10 men early in the game. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/62788961 Second, at Ibrox, as the screenshots will show. He begins in the right position, has Colak covered, but then after Colak makes the pass - despite clearly seeing his team-mate had it covered - he chases after the ball like a little puppy excited by the big white thing, Rangers play an easy one-two, Taylor is now no-where near his man and it's a goal. It sums up his stupidity which constantly annoyed me at Aberdeen and I'm glad he's Kilmarnock's problem these days.
  24. Ha ha. Funny. John Beaton refereeing this game means he will have taken charge of four of the last six Dons/Rangers games. Which is odd in itself, but when you consider Aberdeen actually made a complaint to the SFA about him after one of those games, and in all three he has had controversial decisions in favour of the team it's no secret he supports, it seems very peculiar.
  25. Wait, we're 8 points behind. Does that mean even with a win on Saturday our title race is done? Well that's depressing.
