Don't confuse "great servant" with "guy who has been lucky to get contract after contract".

When he is nearing the end of his contract that does seem to be the time that he hits a 'vein of goal scoring form' and ends up with about 8/9 goals a season [maybe even 13 in one season i think]. But isnt that the same as any pro!?

I am not a Mackie hater by any means but he is just so f**king frustrating!!

Lets hope he can get into double figures this season and let Brooner make the decision! After all he is our top SPL scorer

I made a couple of good saves and my kicking which I normally get a bit of flack for was good, I think you get more relaxed the older you get and that helps your distribution and kicking. Other than the one little blip I feel happy with the performance and psychologically I feel great as well which is a massive thing as well."

Even in a closed doors game against United he makes a blip - poor Clangers!! He will make up for it with a shut-out in the New Year derby up there!

Glad he is on the mend again though  Means we will still have 2 decent keepers when Gonzalez goes back to City

He is at Carlisle these days! He is banging them in too - 7 goals in 11 games! I think he went through a spell of 4 goal in 4 games straight too earlier in the season.

They made it sound like a belter on the radio but on BBC it just says "Goal scored by Fraser Fyvie from just inside the area to the bottom left corner of the goal. Aberdeen 3-0 Dunfermline." Sorry I can't give anymore than that! Roll on the Beeb highlights!!

They should still be on Radio Scotland!! Mind you it always tend to be the O.F on 810 mw if they play at 3 on a Saturday!

Dons are usually on 92-95 fm if you live in the North East! Meaning I tend to get stuck with Hibs, Motherwell or St Mirren every week

HEARTS are poised to land Aberdeen's Zander Diamond on a pre-contract deal.

Sunsport can reveal Jambos boss Jim Jefferies has targeted the out-of-contract Dons defender.

It is understood Jefferies has warned Pittodrie boss Craig Brown he'll open talks with Diamond.

He wants the centre half, who'll be 26 next month, to partner Andy Webster at Tynecastle next season.

And it is believed negotiations over salary and length of deal will be stepped up in the next few days.

Jambos are resigned to losing on-form stopper Marius Zaliukas in the summer.

Ismael Bouzid is also out of contract and his high wages mean he's unlikely to be offered an extension.

Now Jefferies has turned to Diamond, who's been with the Dons since schooldays but is nearing the end of his deal.

Brown is very keen to keep Diamond at Aberdeen but knows he can't compete with Jambos on wages.

Diamond, who has also been watched by English clubs, has yet to make a decision on his future. But the lure of European football and working with Jefferies could tempt him.

Brown also has Chris Maguire, Sone Aluko, Derek Young and Jamie Langfield out of contract this summer.

Mid week games at home always tend to be scrappy affairs! Particularly in Winter!! Although after Saturday's performance and Hamilton not having been prolific in front of goal all season we have to be confident of getting 3 points! Then who knows there is still an outside chance of the top 6.

Well Done to the lad!   Glad to see him at least called into the training squad! Here is hoping he will make it into the squad for the next game! If he carried on like he has been then he will be extremely close!!

have read lots of stuff on various forums about him being a stand out but can't mind him being that good in any of the games?

I am the same! I can't think of anything that springs to mind about him being a stand-out!

But he is certainly a worthy addition to the team and I would be delighted for him to stay beyond the summer! Get him signed!!
