One game at 3pm on a Saturday!
I shouldn't be overly surprised given we have only had 3 or 4 since the turn of the year. 3 games on TV is good for the armchair fans though.
If the Tims haven't won the league by the game at the Tattie dome, it would be good to delay things a week longer for them. Have to agree with Manc though that given our defensive situation at the moment. Mind you McGhee would love it if Murderwell handed the title to Celtic the week before by beating us again.

Who's the ref?
Steven McLean. Marginally better than Gollum

Not one 3pm kick off on a Saturday in Janaury.
In 2016 we don't have a Saturday 3pm k.o again until 27th February! Not great for those wanting to go to games and those who have to travel whether that be to home or away games. Great for armchair fans though.
As things stand we have a meagre 5 games in the New Year which are due to kick off at 3pm on a Saturday before the split. Even then I think Heartys away will be moved for TV coverage too.

Would be the most sensible option imo. good player, but a bit of money for him would mean we could get someone adequate to replace him as what's obvious is is that that person isn't currently at the club.
Given some of McInnes' recent decisions I wouldn't be surprised to see Shinnie punted in there!

Glad it's not on sky anyway, much prefer the BT coverage.
The BT coverage is better but Chris Sutton

Bed for a whole nights kip hopefully (depending on the wee man)
1 - 1 McGinn

He was also called up to the NI squad for the games next week which would suggest if he is injured it shouldn't be too serious.
I am sure we will hear whether he is available tomorrow or not in Deek's pre-match presser.
-
And now called into the Scotland squad

Although he will probably just take Reynolds position on the bench

Cash turnstile is a bonus as it means there are likely to be seats available in the Upper Tier available as the ticket I got through the club is in row C. Unless anyone wants to switch.
I agree that we should maybe rest a few lads but I would certainly be looking for us to put this lot to bed and get through to the Quarter finals.
I can't decide if we will play Rooney / Goodwillie or both. I thought it would have been Rooney given he was rested on Sunday but after Goodie's performance I think he is in with a good shout of starting tonight. Anyone have any ideas?
My lineup prediction is
Brown
McLaughlin Taylor Quinn Shinnie
Pawlett Flood McLean Robson Parker
Goodwillie

Aye. The season they got relegated we were the only team not to beat them I think.
Getting pumped off them 3-1 at home was unacceptable. McGinn missed a pen to make it 2-0 us too IIRC - if that had gone in then it is a different game altogether.
I remember the 1-1 game away that season when Flood scored a free-kick with about 10 minutes left. McDonald should have saved it to be fair. Then they got a pen with about 3 minutes to go and equalised. The noise those cretins made was something else - I had a feeling they were going to sneak a winner in injury time.
I think my supporters club were only given a 20 ticket allocation for this match. One of the downsides for them having such big ST sales. It will be interesting to see how they enforce the smaller area for away fans against the Victims.

Hibs away it is then.
-
Is anyone else following it on the BBC live feed?
The Huns certainly fancy themselves again it seems.
Lowest ranked team left at home would be my choice. If it is an away tie then Dunfermline, Livingston, Falkirk or Hibs would suit.
From a totally selfish point of view I would also add Raith to this list for me to make it possible for me to get along

Rhodes clearly knows where the back of the net is but he's not very mobile, I think he doesn't get the call more often due to this.
I remember him being asked by a journo about being overlooked for Scotland because he apparently can't play as a lone striker as he isn't very mobile outside the box. He just replied that he played that role for over 100 games for Blackburn and had score over 50 goals that point. (This was prior to season when Rhodes played alongside Gestede when Blackburn went with 2 upfront.)
On another note Blackburn will be f**ked in terms of getting into the play-offs if we do let Rhodes go IMO.

Really bugs me seeing the gaps in that stand these days. Seem to recall it used to be packed every week back in the early 90s.
They use to give away free McDonalds voucher in those days though. It was the only reason me and my mate had a season ticket in the ill-fated 1999/2000 season. You use to also get Wee Alickie punting Green Final floaters into the stand too!!
Only thing that would encourage me to take my wee one in the Merkland is the fact there shouldn't be any naughty language. In regards to the view, I personally prefer to be on the touchline so moving the Family Section into the Main would work for me (at least until the wee one has learnt to swear from other sources).

I can't see Flood starting on Thursday. You would have to assume Jack, McGinn & Goodwillie will all come into the starting XI after being rested on Sunday and McLean will keep his place from Sunday after scoring in his last 2 games.
I think it will be:
Ward
Logan Taylor Quinn Consi
Shinnie Jack
McGinn McLean Hayes
Goodwillie
Even though McLean has scored in his last 2 if there was to be a change from the XI above then I think it would be Pawlett coming in so McLean can be effective from the bench again when they should be tiring.

Are the mods nae putting up a prize for this??

My Premier Sports package won't allow my sky no. for some reason so I won't be able to record it
Apparently there is a full re-run of the game at 7 too so you just need to try avoid finding out the result until you get home.

Did anyone see anything on social media about us seemingly having matched the £250k bid for Scott Allan??
Personally can't see it happening myself.

I was looking up the next mob on the map... it looks like they are over beside China is that right? ???
If so, that's going to be basically China on a Thursday night and back to play Scumdee United on a Sunday?!
McInnes was saying the flight is only going to be an hour short of going to China. Also seen a Utd fan on Twitter gloating that we now have a 3500 mile trek each way (as the crow flies) ahead now.
Have heard the game on Thursday will be a 3:45 kick off due to the time difference.

Pre matcher: Sneaking out of work early then supporters bus up the road. Fucking farce that you cannot get a train back to Edinburgh after a mid week game.
I know exactly what you mean! Scotfail at it again.
In / out : Our

Young lad Anderson netted a hat-trick last night!
Hopefully another who will be knocking on the door of the first team when the time is right.

Excellent news!! Good to tie up one of our most consistent performers.
Although I wouldn't be surprised if this time next year we are hearing "he has been sh!t£ since he signed his new deal, we should have let him go" or "Logan out of position again and cost us another goal why did we keep him" from certain sections of our support who never seem to be happy.
Hopefully this is the beginning of some other decent players coming in.
