Took his goal well and a couple of other nice touches but also a few times were he looked as disinterested as usual.
Spot on Jute!! He did take his goal well - ball was lucky to fall to him IMO but he showed his strikers instinct to turn and finish it well. At times he was like a huffy teenager and at one point he looked like he was raging with Shankland when it wasn't fair.

Ordered my copy for the wee man today. Although I think I will get more out of it than him!!
I can't make it to the AECC for the fair on this weekend and requested the dedication from the author and they were happy to assist. It has all been handled very quickly and will be dispatched tomorrow. Couldn't be happier with the service thus far.
Happy to be contributing to good causes too
That post also moved me into the 3 figure club Only taken me about 5 and half years.

At least King has come out and said he will have plenty of dough to spend.
-
Bit of a surprise that. Though they are skint so probably take whoever they could!
I was always surprised that he seemed to be 1st choice for Scotland U21's whenever he was fit
-
Going to sign for Leeds, apparently.
I have heard a rumour there is a £500k development fee involved. Surely not
-
Or perhaps for a player to get sent off at a certain time?
I thought I read after the first leg that there was suspected betting irregularities and it was to do with them having a player sent off. Did they not end up with 2 being sent off over here??
-
Plenty of unknown quantities in that lot and a few hellish journeys for the away leg but a few good ones too!

"Derek - Russell will start as captain on Sunday and, for me, this game is all about Russell."
This was the content of the tweet from the Club.
Couldna see a way to link fae Twitter to here. #technophobe
-
Do we reckon Russell will start? I'd be very surprised if he got any more than a token couple of minutes at the end?
I thought there was a tweet from the Club earlier today that has confirmed Anderson will start and Captain the team on Sunday.

Starting XI is
Brown
Logan Taylor Reynolds Considine
Jack Robson
McGinn McLean Hayes
Rooney
*this may not be the actual formation

Disappointed about having Dundee away for the third time given they have been our bogey team since the first game against them this season.
I am most disappointed that the Tims will have the chance to win the league at our place. Surely that should be incentive enough for the lads to go out and ensure that doesn't happen and we get our first points off them this season
-
Knowing our luck with injuries Shinnine will come in and get crocked after half a dozen games and then we will be back to having Consi at LB again. Or even worse Robertson (if he is still around that is).
Hopefully that is just me being cynical though about Shinnie and he will be like Logan, Reynolds, Rooney etc in terms of injuries.
-
For me personally I would pick Rooney just ahead of Hayes and not just because of his scoring record this season.
Also because of the way he worked his socks off when he was required to play on the RHS of a 5 man midfield when Goodwillie was in the team with only 1 upfront. He still always gave 100% and worked tirelessly for the team.
I know Hayes has also been moved to LB & CM this season but Rooney still shades it for me.

Not being defeatist with this, but just don't the Tims at Pittodrie in a game whereby if they win they clinch the title that day and have these fuckers celebrating like they've won the champions league, instead of the SPL title where all their competitors are seriously disadvantaged in terms of resources.
This is exactly how I feel about it. Would hate to have them confirm the title at our place.
Thinking about how the fixtures have panned out so far am I right in think that logically we should have the Tims, Dundee & St J at home with ICT & United away?

After (finally) noticing there is an Introductions thread in the Off Topic board I thought I would seek some advice from fellow DT users. I have read the site daily for a few years but haven't posted too much.
I wasn't sure if there was an existing thread on this so here goes: Can I choose / make my wee one support the Dons?
The Mrs is due in under a month now and people keep asking us if the wee man will be a Dandy. I know it won't be an issue for a few years but can I make him support the Dons too?
We live in Fife - her old man is a Raith fan (but never goes to games), the Mrs 'follows' Raith because she is from Kdy and her brother is a big Raith fan but lives over the water. The Mrs likes coming along to Dons games and is happy enough for the little one to be a Dandy but is it fair to make him support them? Or should he be allowed to choose when he is old enough?
I don't mind bringing him up to follow Raith's results given the other side of the family have links with them but I want him to be a full on Dandy. When he is old enough to be going to games I don't really want to have to be taking him to games involving one of the Fife teams because they are his local team. I would rather spend the extra money & time for us to get up to Pittodrie when possible and be going to away games.
Anyone got any advice? Was anyone else 'made' to support the Dons?
-
That would be the ideal birthday present for him.
I can't believe he has now been involved with the first team for about 7 years!!
-
Thought he was very good at Hearts when he first started. Where's he been since
He went out to the MLS when he left Hearts - I think it was Houston Dynamo he signed for. I thought I read a while ago that his contract had been extended? Clearly not if he is on trial with us.
He would be a good addition to the squad IMO. Although I am not too sure he would feel if he were only to be a squad player. Although saying that if we did keep hold of everyone and had the likes of Driver on the bench it shows how far we have come in the past few years to have that sort of strength on the bench, let alone in the starting XI.

Did anyone else see this on the Deadline Day transfer feed?

The view from the gaming world
Michael Hector - Reading
Today Fifa Interactive World Cup 2014 Grand Final competitor David Bytheway and Football Manager expert Alex Stewart will be providing insight and analysis of players involved in deals from a gamer's perspective.
"A towering centre-back, with punchy figures for tackling, heading, marking, and decent passing and vision for a centre-back, he is currently at Reading and, in my game at least, remains there. He is, however, worth £7.25 million for a team who finished 19th in the Championship, so he must have something about him and his stats would tend to agree. Would be a fine signing for a ball-playing team that need a bit of muscle to replace an outgoing defender, perhaps West Ham?"
Would be good to see him make the step up to the Premiership. He has been doing really well since going back to Reading. Definitely won't be back in a Dons shirt unfortunately.

Excellent read!
It is hard not to be impressed by McIness especially when it comes to the media he handles them so well!
The man just oozes class for me.

I haven't seen anything anywhere else but I have heard from my mate that we have made an offer to Ryan McGowan. Neilson doesn't want him seemingly.
Apparently United and Coventry have also made offers to him.
Take it with a pinch of salt until it is confirmed though I suppose.
-
Obviously would have preferred a home tie but we will take a good support down again and have a decent chance of getting through. Play to our capabilities and we will get through without doubt.
5 all Premiership ties.
Sevco get a home draw and the Time given lower league opposition. Surprise Surprise.
Great chance for another good cup run here for us!

Delighted for McLean to break his duck. That should be a huge weight off his shoulders!
Could easily hit double figures this season if he stays fit. :AFC2:
