  1. Its true, thats why. Unfortuately, losing to Dunfermline and Hamilton twice is on a different page of that particular script.
  2. Good on them. Now get the fucking stadium sorted out.
  3. I was referring to Motherwell and if I'd known you were planning to get all serious and shit I would have stuck to my usual lecturing, self-righteous and indignant tone. Sorry
  4. I'd be happy to sacrafice a month every 2 seasons to keep a budding young Nigerian internationalist in our team.

    Andy Murray

How many more rounds until the QF in the French ?
  6. Although in fairness did he not write off circa £9m of debt so that Motherwell could be 'debt free' after he had pumped them into administration, albeit after screwing a bunch of players in the process.
  7. There was some horseshit from Boyle about having fought off Hearts last season and being ready to fight us off. He may be ready to dip into his pockets to keep him. He has spent recklessly before.
  8. The Retard were running that one today....I only saw one turned on its front in tescos honest
  9. There is no element of 'depends' for you though as you know exactly who it is
  10. Tourettes is a FUCKING SHITPOT and the people are CUNTS.
  11. Good. Keep him under the radar. We are going to struggle to keep this guy beyond next season if not even sooner.
  12. It's Darren Ferguson we are courting. Thats why the MacAnthony is warning us off and saying we can't afford him rather than 'I have heard nothing from Aberdeen'
  13. In the intertoto-specialneeds-June1-qualifying round ?
  14. Has he not gone now ? We just don't need to discuss this anymore.
  15. This could all be true and as Funster says he might be worth keeping on the grounds of some decent displays as a CB but my point is that in all honesty I don't believe we will see the Seve that we have seen in the past. That doesn't mean we won't, just that there is real risk that we won't and where there is that level of risk I don't believe that a club like ours can afford to carry it. We may lose out on some great twighlight performances and UTD or Hibs may gain them but on balance I still would prefer to see us move on.
  16. I think as a club we have to get away from this idea that there is value in a player who can play the odd brilliant game. If you ask Dons fans how they honestly believe Seve will perform next season should he choose to stay then I am willing to bet that, free from emotive thinking, most would say he would be lazy, slow and disinterested. We all know he has been playing shop window football and yet this myth that he might just turn something around continues to exist. Its been the same with Smith. We have to stop the nostalgia and hankering after past performances. These guys have contributed their best to Aberdeen and we should thank them for it. However, with ever tightening squads and smaller budgets in the offing with reduced TV money we simply cannot afford to carry players who can't perform week-in, week-out. Its ironic that many fans say there is no room for sentimentality when selecting a manager but seem to hang onto it when talking about players who have been performers in the past. Time to let go and start looking to the future and players who have youth and legs that work.
  17. Apart from McGhee's story about the Morton game I can't say I was in the least bit entertained. Even my wife, who knows nothing of football, asked how many times I need to watch the Dons running about on the beach in the freezing cold before I get bored of it. She had a point.
  18. Surely the best way to quash such chat is to avoid it completely and talk about the future. Rather than start up threads about it. Of course, by posting this I am merely continuing the spiral
  19. Footymad have Darren Ferguson up at Pittodrie already http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=4&fid=27&sty=2&act=1&mid=2125890223
  20. Burnley currently 1-0 up against the Blades so that will rule out Coyle for Parkhead.
  21. Its on BBC now. He is gone
  22. You can't beat a bit of shop-windae fitba right enough
  23. I'm keen to see Pawlett and Paton becoming first team regulars. They have both looked like very exciting prospects, very comfortable with the ball at their feet and taking players on. If we can get a manager in who prefers that style of player then we might yet see some, dare I say, exciting football from Aberdeen next season. Aside from that a solid defensive line has to be priority. Happy with our midfield options if we can keep Kerr and MacDonald fit with the afore mentioned flair players in the mix. If the frontline can develop with guys like Maguire next season then I'd say we are looking dapper.
  24. United have had their best two seasons in a long time and Levein has done an exceptional job, these are facts. However, its indicative of the level they are at as a club that this is the best it gets. They lived in our shadow when we were kings of Europe and they continue to do so. They are a shitty little outfit playing bland but competent football under Levein. Hats off to that.
  25. I suspect it will be McGhee. I think he would do a good job for a couple of seasons.
