  1. i dont agree lets not turn it into a "millertime hates jess" fiasco either
  2. i honestly would love to like Ifil, he's big, powerful and has an awesome presence - however, hes fucking diabolical. hes a liability and commits fouls left right and centre. ESPECIALLY down to him being one of our top earners, get him to fuck
  3. thats what im saying, pretty much he is a shadow of the player he once was, but general consensus is his leadership qualities sees him through -fair enough as for the numpty saying theyve seen maguire or mackie produce as much magic as Zero did...shut your fucking mouths 5-1 against killie.....hat-trick at dens.....free-kick against st mirren....screamers against dundee utd and motherwell....Hicham Zerouali was indeed a magician and was THE most technically gifted player of my generation of supporting the dons the fans' adulation forhim even put a certain mr jess' nose out of joint, as the old story about Atlantic Telecom replacing his cardboard cut out with Zero's, goes to prove
  4. im absolutely ecstatic to hear him say that i must be in the minority as i actually thought he was fine in difficult circumstances he's got the face of a guy you could make cry quite easily. by that, i mean he doesnt look like a "strong" willed guy, or give off an aura of confidence, but i liked him yesterday he was blatantly shoved over in the box and for the next 15/20 mins he was throwing himself about - i liked that
  5. can i just clarify i wasnt saying zero was a captain-esque player, i was saying the word was we couldnt afford to have someone in the team who wasnt contributing 100% of the time i asked the same question of hartley, seeing as how i dont think he contributes at all in a playing sense
  6. well, he inspired me every time i watched him so much so, that i used to go to reserve games to see him (coming back from injury and ebbe dropping him!)
  7. thats horrific then is there a chance that it could hinder him for the rest of his career then if it wasnt a "simple" injury?
  8. id say he DEFINITELY inspired his team mates, but in a wholly different way to paul hartley does.
  9. i think someone in another thread was alluding to young Fraser's injury being much worse than anticipated...does anyone know what it actually was that happened to him?
  10. not biting for the Zero thing, that's for another thread
  11. fair enough yeah was just wondering if anyone else felt the same or if i was in the minority
  12. he is the epitome of an inspirational captain, he really is but i think hes a passenger on the park my question was, can we accept that?
  13. not what im saying in a footballing sense - he really doesnt have it anymore as an inspirational captain he certainly does however tis a tough one
  14. Zero did none of what? i seen the full 90 mins of the hibs game yeah it defnitely "eeked" a little more out of him, did the hibs game, for obvious reasons i honestly believe he is past it. hes SO slow that its really easy to skin him and yeah fully aware how many he's scored however theyre not as a result of his fine outfield play...theyre penalties so they dont damage my points
  15. did you see Hartley's deliveries today?
  16. i really dont know if we can. when we had Zerouali, it was said that we could not afford to "carry" him as although he was capable of genius, he wasnt someone who worked his arse off for 90 mins, so why is hartley any different?
  17. inspirational figure. he really is. looking at the way he talks to our players throughout the game. the way he barracks the opposition the way he generally just struts about with his chest out, its great to see. HOWEVER...i think weve been so starved of proper professionals over the years that its actually a little sad how we - i included - have latched onto this guy as being some kind of messiah i want to hammer home that im happy hes at our club and that hes our captain, but...im sorry to say, he looks like a shadow of a player out on the park the game seems to continually pass him by and my question is....can we afford that?
  18. fair enough, the reasoning is sound, i just hate seeing the pair of them as fullbacks as theyre so, so vulnerable our team right now though is littered with players who arent good enough and it seriously pisses me off Vuja most defnitely did not start left back
  19. i cant believe that folly was actually told to play right mid, thats just odd. consi most certainly isnt a left back, hes barely a centre back why it wasnt vudja left back, diamond and mcardle centre backs and mcnamee or jack right back ill never know mcardle and consi as our full backs is a joke lets hope we bring in some right good players in january
  20. Vernon most certainly wasnt poor. he held the ball up well and put a good couple of through balls on a plate for maguire. he also scored when it mattered, so more than pass marks for him
  21. my first game in a while and christ, i now remember why we really are not a good football team we're still all over the place and craig brown has a big job to do pass marks to langfield, diamond, vernon, aluko, maguire and young jack when he came on, the rest were dross. considine is a calamity, folly was all over the place (including the right wing numerous times), and hartley as a footballer is finished. it pains me to say it, as hes definitely a great influence, but hes finished. his legs are completely gone, he has no pace and the game just passes him by delighted by the last minute goal, as its exactly what scummy hamilton deserved. aluko coming on seemed to coincide with a change in tact from our team and we definitely got out of jail
  22. anyone know if theres anywhere for parking at hamilton?
  23. is the delectably handsome "disco dave" on here at all?
  24. jesus... anyway, is it defo gonna be on?
