  2. I see Micky Duff is on some bookies list. As a bit of a Cheltenham hero as both a player and manager I wouldn’t be averse to this. Turned Cheltenham round quickly. Would have been promoted, I think as Champions, in the Covid season had it completed. Did the following season, highest ever finish first season in League 1, before going to Barnsley where he turned them round too. Rated highly at both clubs. Plays decent football.
Just his short stint at Swansea as a blot.

  3. I doubt he put up much of a fight. Purely based on his walk to the tunnel after final whistle last night. Was like he was trying to stare down the red shed, while walking away. Think that chanting got to him and TBF I thought he looked visibly upset as he turned back before going down the tunnel.

Ah well, not unsurprising, a step too far. Zero shots on target, one goal is a good stat. Nobody died, which was the main thing. Bellingham is probably the best English player I've ever seen. They've had some good strikers over the years, but I don't remember a properly world class player for them. He's very good.

    Aye (grudgingly).

I don't think cancel culture is the issue. The fact that he is, in the eyes of the law a rapist, that's the issue.

The issue is that he probably is a rapist, but is not in the eyes of the law. His victim won a civil case on the balance of probabilities. He was never convicted because him and his mate "remembered" a consensual threesome, while she woke up not remembering anything and injuries consistent with them taking turns raping her.

The boy doing the interview should offer to have her on to give her side of the story, although I imagine it wouldn't be worth the trauma.

Just watched Robsons presser.  Looked pretty pissed off that the Devlin signing has been leaked.

Burrows said on Friday the club were not happy at all as they did not want this leaked. Wanted to allow Livingston to release the news that their player was leaving.

Bit of tit for tat "fuck you", I reckon. Wasn't it the same person that Cormack called out over a previous "ITK" leak? Maybe last season?

I doubt they're getting an offside wrong these days, he looked in line with the fullback in the replays. Miovski made zero attempt to shoot, it was really poor. He was just leaning into the defender until he fell over. In fairness to Miovski he was using all his strength to get in front of the guy that I think he was eventually just leaning against him for balance and support, but I still think he should be swinging a foot at it at least.

Thought the Hearts player was all over him and had a good hold of his shirt. Has a go at pulling him back with an arm over his shoulder. At a time where Bates touching Sakalas shirt is a pen…

You may be right on the offside I thought the ball went forward to Shankland so the only way he could be played onside was by Pollock and he was well in front of him. Wasn’t even disappointed when it went in, so sure was I that it would be disallowed.

  8. I can’t see how maseeve-heeds goal stood, was well off. Also how hauling Miovski to the ground was not a pen.

Just seen the foul on Marley in the box from before I turned it on.

I‘m not denying Robson hasn’t done a bad job. But until a few weeks ago he coached our u18s. He’s ‘managed’ maybe a dozen games in two stints here, in a position that has little to lose as he’s helping the club out as interim. You could argue Agnew was brought in to help stablize a team that were going bad fast and could get sucked into a relegation battle. I wouldn’t say Agnew was brought in because Robson saw his own inexperience. This is robson’s only first team coaching/managing experience at any club. That’s a huge risk - we failed badly with glass, and failed again with goodwin. Third time a charm?? I’d compare it to going to college. You learn the theory, maybe some placement or on job experience, graduate, that start a real gig. Do you jump from a new graduate to a top job or do you build your way up? Just don’t see cormack going for inexperience a third time. Maybe not a great comparison, but perhaps Robson needs to find his forest green like Duncan Ferguson??

Fit? Nae eating meat, getting relegated, having to listen to Dale Vince tell you what a top bloke he is while trying to work out what sort of time you’d serve for heeding and booting him all the way back to Stroud?

Where is everyone getting this idea from that Agnew is a good coach? Of late he has been Steve Bruce’s right hand man, who has been shite from Villa, thru Sheff Wed, Newcastle and West Brom.

I was basing it on that he’d been employed by good sides, was obviously respected by Robson enough to choose/not veto his appointment, and more importantly that he seems to be someone Robson can discuss tactical alterations with during a game that have been improving performances through games. I think we can all agree that results have been improving with him coaching the players on the training field too.

  11. I think Robson's probably an ideal candidate for what we appear to be trying to achieve at the club. Especially if he's able to surround himself with (an)other good coach(es) like Agnew and we establish a good structure above him for recruitment and forward planning.

I didn't watch the game, but just looked back at the highlights, and I don't think it was a handball (as per the rules). It definitely wasn't a red card either way, as the ball hits off his body and then onto his hand, so if it hadn't hit his hand it would have dropped fairly harmlessly to one of their covering players as the sting had already been taken out of the (exceptionally pish) shot. For me, it would have been a clear and obvious error if a red had been given, but not the other way around. I could understand a ref giving a foul in real time, and possibly even a red depending on how he'd interpreted it in real time. But the fact it hits his body first, for me, looks the right call.

Fair enough. There was no replay on RedTV. Looked like Ramadani hit it, Hart's arm came out and the ball changed direction.

  13. This might be the best Celtic team I've seen. The speed, consistency and intensity of their press is frightening. So I don't like the negative hyperbole I've seen on social media regarding our performance. Confidence is shot and I can kind of understand why.

First half from us was awful, genuinely thought we might have beaten McGhee's record after 13 minutes. Every dons player panicked when the ball came near them, the decision making was horrendous and not one player was willing to take charge, all looking at one another. Gorter, almost single handedly kept it at 2-0 till half-time. Robson and Agnew got things more organised in the second half and we actually looked like we might be growing into the game. But the total lack of confidence still evident in things like Clarkson's "shot" from the rhs that went out for a throw on the lhs. Hayes not just lobbing Hart, instead laying it off to Ramadani only for Hart to make a save with his hands outside the box right in front of the ref.  One of your better players missing so horrendously and then being denied a freekick and a sending off.

That said nothing excuses the weak defending and numerous basic errors.

No idea how we're playing as relying on red Tv commentary today which has consisted of long spells of silence then the co-comms saying "go on, that's it, well done" which isn't the most descriptive commentary I've ever heard.

I had Duk first goal and 3-0 at 50/1 so devastated at the penalty award.

You’ll be even more annoyed when you see that Clancy got to see it on the wee telly and still couldn’t get the very clear handball rule correct.
