  1. I find there to be 2 types of "grown up" in our support. Those who go for the football and the piss artists. The latter I heard calling for McGhee's head, abusing MacDonald and breaking a chair or 2 at starks park. I think the majority are still unsure about McGhee's tenure but understand that it may take some time to change a team fed on high balls for god knows how long. As stated earlier I thought we weren't awful today, just toothless again. Unfortunately the pissed halfwits shout the loudest and get publicity for it. I don't feel MM has done a wonderful job but our youth are getting their chance and if we are ever to make money again we have to let them develop at their own pace.
  2. we had plenty of the ball and never really looked troubled except for the goal. All our woes come from our inability to attack directly. Countless times Kerr and McDonald collected the ball 30 yds out with 10 yds to run into and every time they stopped still and looked to play wide. No one has the balls to run into the box or have a go from distance. Seriously lacking an on field leader going forward. p.s loved big zander flattening the goalie, 1st time in the game we weren't outmuscled.
  3. got 3 tickets after lunchtime, nae bother. Maybe not selling as quick as anticipated. Too many fellas letting a couple of cup blips recently keep them away. I'm hopeful of a few goals on saturday
  4. on sky news too him and McDonald. Suppose if you take the lazy sod you'd need someone to do the running
  5. Powder puff display Felt Fyvie and Marshall both looked to be struggling and as a result there was no support to Mackie ( not that he held anything up )
  6. was on fire after his move, not too popular with his gaffer down there but if he's half the player he was when he was getting a game he's better than what we've got
  7. nice to see the club using some business sense and ensuring they get something for the boy should he prove to be the genuine article. Which I think he may well be.
  8. McGhee's reaction was one of utter disgust, it was F'in hilarious, had to watch it a few times
  9. Surely I can't be the only one noticing an amazing effort by MM to create a seige mentality at Pittodrie. I read an article where he was praising fergie and the 'west coast bias' propoganda he used with his team.( possibly in the ranger today/yesterday ) Hats off to the boy he's doing well at ensuring everyone hates us, upsetting both sets of unwashed dundonians, harrassing the well and demanding not just a win but to win by a few goals against rangers, and if this wasn't enough suggesting a restructure to ensure the League big wigs are pissed too. Meanwhile Willie's spouting nonsense everywhere they'll listen to him about whatever has upset him this week. . I'm thoroughly enjoying their winding up of the whole league and I really hope that their efforts have the desired effect on our, not too bothered squad. Surely it's not just all coincidental that WM's found a voice since MM has arrived!
  10. sorry, meant to say above our level, but above is missing from earlier post. Not in USA, MLS used to show on TV and he was one of the better players, I think he was at houston at that time
  11. I've watched him a few times on TV and really like him, pacey, good finisher and if I'm honest is probably above our level. That said I'd love to see him at Pittodrie. Would be just what we need to make things happen going forward.
  12. I'm 31, any chance I'd still get in ?
  13. somebody's been watching Burnley on MOTD2 this week. quality idea theft, I'm impressed
  14. very ordinary player who takes good free kicks, not too fussed what he decides to do. Would be nice to get some cash though, but I doubt that'll happen.
  15. at least with Tommy back in the team, dazza and miller will look like players again. loved the comment about cadamarteri's pace and power, as if tommy has either. That said hopefully MM's confidence in him can make a difference and the boy starts to play football at last, as he looked totally out of his depth last season.
  16. he's going for a jolly, I'd be suprised if he gets a sniff when he's there
  17. two types of ultra in my view: kids and social inadequates
  18. oh bollocks, did that quote thing wrong again, sorry Padre, quick reply is too confusing
  19. I was gutted when Kerr got the nod and now it's blatantly clear why.. he was indeed honking. Sadly MacDonald seems to be going off his game too, probably playing beside shit week in week out. Thought bebo and Pawlett done really well, and clangers was superb ( did anyone else notice the change in attitude at cross balls and passbacks, eh Jim? ) Those three apart we looked like we still don't know what we're doing. I'd have thought 2 weeks of uninterrupted training might have helped with the game plan, but apparently not. Looked very narrow throughout and lacked attacking nouse. When Falkirk got the ball they spread it and attacked our full backs all night, and if I'm honest they should have had 2 or 3. I'm now of the opinion that we should give the whole reserve team their chance as their senior counterparts have yet again failed to turn up for 80 minutes. I don't blame McGhee I feel sorry for the fella, these guys seem to have no shame or professional pride.
  20. sorry Jager, the quote thing didn't work quite as I'd anticipated
