  1. As you all know I was never his biggest fan.

Would he improve us over nisbet? I don't think he would. If we're playing with wingers and putting balls into the box, he's not that kind of finisher. Think he scored two headers in two seasons.

He'd be a calculated risk but I think I'd rather have kev back if it were possible. With a pre season i'd expect him to kick on.

Cove goalkeeper Nicholas Suman signed under freedom of contract.

Can't help but think we must be signing a.n.other keeper as well.

Don't know anything about Suman is he coming in a number two choice or are we signing another keeper 🤔

I've seen a bit of him. Shite haircut but very solid keeper. Big strong lad, good presence and tidy spot stopper.

I'm quite happy to see him given a shot. Don't think he'd let us down.

Hope all you central belters are able to make the street parade at short notice! Great to see folk on the bridges all the way up the road to Aberdeen last night waving Dons flags. Top effort. Will take the kids to Union street today. Never know when the next one might be (I'm not even sure you have one for winning the Europa league?).

Early rise but will worth the trip

Don't understand that - a week to save his job so if we lose at DU and get spanked the following week he gets sacked he won't be here next season.

No, if you read the next sentence . He starts next season under real scrutiny. How many managers are given a decent run at a new season if the start poorly following a poor end to a season?

Usually they get a few weeks then the trigger is pulled if they have a slow start. In our case that start may include a rebuild .

Since our miraculous run we haven't been anywhere near decent. You could see the empty seats tonight very few believed we had a chance.

I'm not saying he has to win the cup but he needs a decent last game and not another 5 or 6 in the final to give himself a fighting chance of seeing this project through.

  5. Positives: Milne done well in his cameo, shady mo looked in Celtics class. Can't blame mitov for any goals really.

Negatives: forgot palaversa was playing. Everything relies on a 40yd ball ( almost always from Clarkson )and three headers and flicks to get up the pitch. Keskinen is pointless, why hasn't he been dropped? Can't hold the ball, can't create. Just head down and fingers crossed. Our best defensive partnership in a while struggled. Skipper was destroyed out wide.

All in all is not a pretty picture and I'm really not sure Jimmy can fix it. He's basically got this week to save his job. If it ends in a loss then a spanking in the final he starts next season under serious, serious pressure.

  6.  Character is the big word. We need some proper leaders to come in this summer.

I know I'll get shinnie is amazing flack but we drew from 2-0 up against ten men last time and got pumped today.

We need guys that are there to win and know how to roll their sleeves up when they have to. .

Today highlights why I won't miss McGrath. Totally over rated. He disappears when it matters. Good luck to Hibs getting any more out of him.

I stand to be wrong but I can't see past Airdrie for those playoffs. Stenny have struggled recently, Cove had a bad patch for a couple of weeks but ended a bit better and Queen of the South have been great in the last quarter of the season but I think Airdrie will have too much for any of them. As someone with family in Dumfries and who goes to see Queens if they're at home while we're visiting, that's a pity!

Just seen this. Stenny were actually really good on Saturday and I hoped that would spark belief.

However two minutes in it was clear that Airdrie were a cut above. Some real quality play, they were sharp and slick.

Nobody in the playoffs is touching them. I'm away this weekend which might be good as I can only see a greater defecit coming.

Falkirk beat Hamilton 3-1 to secure their return to top flight. At least it’s not Livingston I suppose.

As a stenny fan a bit of me wanted them to bottle it but it was a great watch and I knew a lot of those faces around the pitch.

Big night tomorrow. Can stenny do back to back promotion via the playoffs?  Airdrie at home 1st leg.

Even better that arsenal kindly moved to wednesday to accommodate me this week.

Exactly the same for me, apart from having to use a laptop to get tix at 5 as it didn’t work on the phone. Wonder how many missed out due to the decision to allow people to buy 4.

I had 3 phones ( android and apple) and an iPad. I'm not gonna pretend I had hundreds of points but I was above the limit for 2pm and it didn't let me buy until 5

Then I couldn't see any seats on any device to pick. Just a blank space and green bar where the pitch is.

I'm sure I'll be able to acquire the three I need but it really wasn't good.
