  1. I remember the good old days when players like Miller, McLeish, Bett, Hewitt etc etc were back for pre-season training before they eventually signed another contract. Bosman and pre-contract agreements changed all that forever, now we all want things signed and sealed 6 months beforehand, and players given strict deadlines. Can we not go back to the old days? :-\
  2. Maybe Touzani is the one on the way out, not Dan smith
  3. Still badly need a left sided midfielder. Not sure if this Dutch fella comimg in tomorrow will cut the mustard, but whatever happened to Burton O Brien? Surely, JC will be allowed to bring in one more player on a decent wage, in my opinion, left midfield is an area we are still short. I know De Vischer can play there, but what#s the point in playing a right sided player on the left. Square pegs and round holes and all that..........
  4. 1/ We can't sell the stadium, and eventually our debts massively outstrip our assets or ability to repay said debts... at which point we go into administration.. or cease trading. 2/ We sell the stadium, at which point we are theoretically debt free and homeless. This means we either get a free stadium from somewhere (not going to happen), ground share with Inverness, or cease trading. In otherwords, what you are saying is, apart from groundsharing with ICT, we are fecked? Jeez, that's a happy thought on this wet saturday night.
  5. Grampian Healthboard Club on King St. Open at 12.45
  6. Strange that JC didn't want this signing to be announced till after the weekend's game, then they've just gone and done it. Certain that Hart is on his way now, unfortunelty. seemingly a radio station announced it today, £450k to Celtic.
  7. Groin injury has flared up again, according to Redweb. Season has been almost a total wash out for him. As was the 2nd half of last season.
  8. I can't see this making Anderson's head go down. If anything, it will make him even more determined come saturday - Killie strikers, you have been warned.
  9. I don't quite see the connection with Scott McDonald leaving Motherwell. I'd have thought that would make M'well all the more determined to hold on to Kerr.
  10. All very well saying that Weir and Pressley are old, but guys like McManus and Berra ain't. Or Andy Webster either. Remember it took AFC winning the league in 1980 for Willie Miller to get properly installed as Scotland's number one central defender, but he'd been that for at least 2 or 3 season prior to 1980.
  11. The fella had been plauged by injury for about 2 years afore he came to AFC, so it shouldn't be too much of a suprise to JC. is it a 2 yr contract extension that we've offered him?
  12. He was looking pretty composed on the ball up till then too, although Zander did well when he came on.
  13. Couldn't hear in the boozer if it was tactical or if he was injured? Didn't look like he was injured as he ran off.
  14. And, we piss United off. Once again. ;D ;D
  15. Unless it's the apparently Celtic bound Michael Hart that Mair has been bought to replace!
  16. Indeed, a strange one, if it is in fact correct. Not even sure if he's getting a game for Yinited at present.
  17. AFC to sign Lee Mair according to Jim Spence on Radio Scotland. Wander if the Touzani deal had hit a snag
