  1. It's a good pub, nothing fancy but it more than does the job and they've been very generous with their offer. So, we want to drum up some business for them when the Dons are on.

It's also got a good beer garden

  4. I see it's finally the early 90's in Shetland...

    ;)

Mr Biscuit, I didn't think it was possible for someone to fail so badly in one post!

    A) Everyone knows The Saw Doctors are timeless, brilliant in any era.

    B) I don't come from that god-forsaken hellhole, it's Orkney - centre of the universe and home to some of the Western world's greatest minds.

    ;D;)

  5. ABERDEEN FC this afternoon won their fight to sign Icelandic international Kari Arnason.

The Aberdeen team faced competition from at least one club in England for the 28-year-old former Plymouth Argyle player.

But Aberdeen FC boss Craig Brown beat them and Arnason will officially become a Dons player on Monday after undergoing a medical at Pittodrie.

  6. ABERDEEN boss Craig Brown last night revealed he has clinched a deal with Borussia Moenchengladbach to take some of the German club's players on loan.

Brown is close friends with with former Scotland Under-21 manager Rainer Bonhof, who is now vice-president of Moenchengladbach.

The Dons were thumped 5-2 by Moenchendladbach at the weekend but the clash looks to have paid off for the Dons boss ahead of the new season.

Brown said: "Before our game I had a meeting with Rainer and he offered to give Aberdeen players on loan if we wanted."

Meanwhile, Iceland central defender Kari Arnason, who quit Plymouth Argyle in the summer after refusing to accept a 70 per cent pay cut, is Brown's next summer signing target.

Brown will also run the rule over another couple of trialist keepers as he looks to strengthen his squad.

And he will mix his squad up for games at Deveronvale tonight and Inverurie Locos tomorrow night.

    AN ACTUAL QUOTE!!1!

  7. Tom Watson MP is meeting Aamer Anwar tomorrow to discuss the new evidence that Coulson lied under oath at the Shagger Sheridan perjury trial. Coulson claimed not to be aware of payments being made to police.

Watson said he believes the evidence may make shagger's conviction unsound.

So there may be a downside to this situation then? We get the Shagger Sheridan media circus in full swing again.  >:(

  8. Would it be churlish to ask why it has taken us till 2011 and a potential new stadium to pursue this kind of investment and make an appointment to the board like this?

    Not at all.

If this is the AFC board having their eureka moment - "let's approach oil and energy companies!" - then it's years later than it should have been.
