  1.

JMO, apparently Christmas beer is all the rage in Denmark.  I had some Christmas Tuburg last weekend, its was much better than the usual pish.

Had some last time I was in Denmark. Can't really remember what it tastes like, but remember thinking it was better than Carlsberg.

  2. First half was shite. We were terrible and had no midfield. Couldn't believe the change in the second half - looked solid at the back at dangerous every single time we came forward.

Hayes was outstanding. Vernon was pish.

Weather was baltic. Extra time would have been horrendous.

jmo, there was a guy on my train to Glasgow moaning on the phone about his shins, that'll be you then

Probably, got on the train and realised what I thought would be a scratch was a proper gash going down my leg with a lump. No idea how I managed to do that.

    Overenthusiastic celebration I guess.

  3. No seen the highlights. It was shite the first time I seen the game. Terrible game. Never really got going and never threatened really until it was too late. Hearts were shit but we were worse. I ken the midfield was lightweight as fuck but as bloo_toon_red says, having 5 first team midfielders out is something every team in the country would struggle to cope with.

We really have some utter idiots in our support. At the end of the first half, I heard a very loud shout of 'BROON, GET OOT'. Just generally too, that was one of the poorer away supports I've seen. Usually, we're really good at getting behind the team. Maybe it was just the particular section I was in but it seemed some were particularly quick to turn. Then when we were on the platform at Haymarket, me and my mates got involved in an argument with another Don who said we weren't real fans because we hadn't been in Gothenburg despite the fact none of us was born in 1983. What a fucking plunger, I really could have hit him. Absolute tool.

Someone not too far from me decided to throw a coffee cup at Hearts goalkeeper for some reason.

  4. Thinking of going to the replay now, stuck in Glasgow with nothing else to do. Anyone know if there is a supporters bus or anything that runs from Glasgow or the best way to get there and back on public transport??

I'm planning on taking the train from the Exhibition Center to Motherwell. Can get it from Central though as well. Trains running back to Central until fairly late.

  5. Managed to get a free ticket upgrade. Had a ticket in the lower section, which was £4 cheaper, when I went to get a new ticket printed (free of charge due to the ticket not being sent out by the club accidentally) they got me one for the upper section.

I want to see that penalty again though, didn't look like one to me. One of those where under the strict rules it is a penalty, but if that was the case both teams should have had about five each. McManus had his shirt pulled as he shot, in a decent chance, at one point. Surely that is a penalty and red card as it clearly put him off when it was a goal scoring opportunity. Right in front of the ref too and he just ignored it.

  6. We played well for the first ten minutes or so.

We look poor though, miss Fraser.

I liked the look of McManus though. One of few positives of the day. Vernon looked awful, Hayes had flashes of good play then moments of awful play. Masson looked terrible. Hearts can't afford to keep both sets of toilets open.

  7. Heres a question, god forbid that the huns get promoted say in 3 years back to the new form of the top flight footie... will they keep to their word and not take promotion ?

I saw a debate about this on fb a couple of days ago in which the hun in the argument said they would take promotion, but refuse tickets for any away games, except for Celtic (he didn't explain why Celtic were exceptions to this rule).

I may have got this wrong, but weren't Clyde the only team to vote to not allow The Rangers into the league set up at all? As in not even into the third division? If so surely that would be considered far more harmful than anything Dundee United did, so why aren't they boycotting Clyde matches?

  8. I don't like Celtic being considered 'friends'. May be narrow minded but the Old Firm are, imo, the reason domestic Scottish football has been fairly miserable for the last decade and a half. I think silence on the issue would have been far better.

I'm not sure how our league rivals getting €30 Million extra for qualifying to the last 16 of the Champions League is good for us anyway. Surely one team, which already have considerably more money than the rest of the SPL, getting that much more is a bad thing.
