  1. Played terribly but got a win. Enjoyed the game. There was a very annoying Irish girl sitting near us who was gloating with her high-pitched voice, pissing off everyone around her. Looking at her face when we won made the win all the sweeter.

  2. That was frustrating. Tactics were all off. Thought it was obvious that we should be attacking from the start, but apparently not.

Even with about 15 minutes to go, in a game we needed to score in, Hibs got a corner and every single Aberdeen player was in the box. There seemed to be no urgency.

A bit miserable. Player wise I thought Hughes was poor but didn't really think the rest of the team were that bad, but the fact I've seen them play better than they did yesterday is frustrating.

People around me were very critical of Vernon when he came on, but I thought he was doing well until the penalty (do our players never practice taking penalties? I actually cannot remember the last time I saw us score one) which was as bad as McGinn's last week.

Need to improve for next week for us to do anything in the league. I'm not quite at 'The season is over' stage yet (I was last night, but woken up feeling less reactionary and pessimistic) as I still think we have a decent chance of getting into Europe.

Expectant large dons crowd for an important match. Unsure why I expected any different.

  3. Currently reading 'The Driver's Seat' by Muriel Spark. Only ever read 'The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie' by her before so wasn't sure what to expect. So far I'm enjoying it though.

Recently finished a couple of Sherlock Holmes novels, which are always entertaining.

Have a lot of books downloaded onto my Kindle that I'm planning on reading, from James Bond to 'Mortality' by Christopher Hitchens.

  4. Quite enjoyed The Hobbit but felt it went on about 45 minutes too long. I quite liked the slow build up, but after a while got sick of seeing the Dwarfs and Gandalf running across a bridge whilst being attacked by goblins, then running across another bridge whilst being attacked by Goblins.

I enjoyed it, but I felt it was stretched.

Keen to see Les Miserables but can't convince anyone to go.

  5. My jeans are still wet.

Good second half, probably had slightly the better of the first half but not by much. Thought we would lose at half time just because we had the wind against us for the second half, but got a goal from the free kick and another. Looked good in parts, but conditions weren't exactly representative of normal football.

I don't think I will ever be dry.

  6. Planning on seeing it, but I thought turning The Hobbit into two films was stretching it, never mind three.

In saying that, I've only heard good things about it.
