  1. the above about East Fife is fair enough. but what has it got to do with your claim that he's only kicked the ball twice recently? even ruling out the cup game, bizarrely, just because it suits your agenda. he scored against United as well. So even applying your 'logic' it's surely 3 kicks of the ball? whatever way you look at, you talk mince! Edit: Just read this back and realised I was trying to use logic in a debate with stoney. *Hangs head in shame*
  2. He managed 4 goals and 2 assists in the last 3 games by only kicking the ball twice? fuck me, he's a genius, sign him up.
  3. I think there was talk of all away games, but the only official "bhoycott" (yes, that IS what they are calling it, cringe) is their upcoming away game to Killie. apparently having less fans in the ground booing the referee's every decision is their way of getting their own back.
  4. I thought the more shocking/surprising revelation was the Brewster one. I thought it was genuinely accepted that all UK players these days are cunts, except a small minority. One behaving like a true gent caught me off guard. British 17 yr old, who's been told by lots of folk he is talented, and therefore doesn't bother much with an education, acting like a little wank? I'm not surprised the Daily Mail didn't have a campaign for that story.
  5. Cheers, I'll get in touch with them. it wasn't in the online shop when I looked so thought they'd stopped selling it.
  6. Anyone know anywhere I could get my hands on a copy of this DVD? it's the one that had an extra disc with the whole gothenberg final. Just realised that the copy I had is lost, presumably during a house move. had a quick look online but think it's been discontinued
  7. Ginger haired Central Midfielder who started his career at Left Back. Been at Fulham since 2005 but been punted out on loan for most of that. Brentford, Southend and most recently a Finnish Team.
  8. my posts, clearly. or at least they are for you anyway. (the dump on the desk thing was what's known as 'sarcasm' an exaggeration for comic effect) I originally said it's a win win for us if we're either getting cash, or keeping a player finally starting to look decent. stoney mentioned his logic in a reply to me of why we shouldn't wait for him to decide at the end of his contract. to show other young players we won't be f**ked around to which I replied something "Fair enough, but teaching young players loyalty is a waste of time" i.e. I take his point, but would sticking maguire in the stand really register with any young player these days, as loyalty is dead in the game. I'm not sure they'd care. At this point, you get all shirty about my use of the word Loyal and why should maguire be? try reading the whole thread before you jump in.
  9. I'm sorry you are right. there's absolutely no reason why a player who a club has spent years of effort on (at considerable cost) and who has been given a chance to become an established professional at said club, despite sometimes showing an attitude that others may have given up on, should have to show any loyalty at all. what was I thinking? Yes, he'd be quite within his rights to take sh!t on Craig's desk just before he walks out the door.
  10. Can't get up to Scotland for this game, but have bought a couple of tickets for my son. I'm massively pessimistic about the result, but can't deny him a chance of seeing us at Hampden again, it's not like we're regulars there these days. hopefully Celtic keep p*ssing off ref's between now and then, a dodgy pen in the 87th minute would be lovely.
  11. That's fair enough I guess. Although trying to teach any young player the importance of being loyal is waste of bloody effort these days. I'd could see Rangers try getting him since they can't seem to afford Goodwillie, but being an avid tim, I'm not sure if he'd go there.
  12. 14fosters. why even reply to Stoney's post about maguire?! As long as we get a decent fee it's a win win. if he stays, he's finally coming onto a game so would be a good player to keep. if he leaves, we get much needed cash for new players. although I will miss reading the sexual tension between the lines on here in Stoney's posts if he does go. Defo sounds like a "come and get him" plea from Miller to get folk interested now.
  13. Agreed. I don't dread when my AFC alerts come in on saturdays at the moment, and thats good enough for me.
  14. I'm not sure we can overstate the 4-2 performance against Hibs. We did start well, but they were a shambles at pittodrie that day. I'd have scored against Bamba. As for professionalism, the 2 we conceded whilst coasting at 4-0 then 4-1 were almost identical and sh1t goals to concede. not a professional way to close out a game against a crap outfit. I get what your saying, in that some folk on here are already taking the english media route of "we're a laughing stock" to "we're world champions" in a matter of days, which is daft. but I had to disagree with the hibs comparison.
  15. another player on loan from a premiership club? No Objections from me.
  16. Ha Ha! The man who defended McGhee, using interview techniques as a reason to slag someone else at the club. Priceless. Cue "I didn't defend McGhee" post. Here's a wee spelleng mistake for you to focus on, incase the point is too hard to take in. Getting back to the actual subject of Goodwillie vs Maguire. I'm not gonna comment on who is the best or has made the most impact, as it's not really a fair comparison is it? I thankfully don't see much of Utd's games but I was under the impression that he was a forward for them. It's only recently that Maguire has started to play in his supposed favoured position for us so it's not comparing like for like.
  17. Not to worry, our 'supporters' are talking him back down again. so normal service will be resumed!
  18. just seen something on twitter saying we are potentially signing former cardiff defender Tony Capaldi this week. anyone heard this, or know anything about him? says on wikipedia he's a left back. last played with morecambe.
  19. Other than live TV games, I've only seen Hartely twice so far this season, and he was pretty poor in terms of his passing and obviously pace, but was also giving directions throughout and bawling out players who had made mistakes. so it basically is in line with what most of this thread has mentioned so far. what I'd take from this thread is that Ifil should stop practising his passing, which is clearly getting him nowhere, and learn how to shout and point a lot. maybe take a leadership course or read a self help book like "Inspiration: it starts from inside". he'll be a fan hero in no time (for those not blessed with a sarcasm gland, the above post is firmly tongue in cheek )
  20. I reckon it's a moot point anyway. The Huns as it stands, are still skint and will probably take a utility squad player for cheap if they can get it so I can see the deal being made permanent.
  21. Had the "zerouali" shirt with "0" as the number, initially had hopes of another Gillhaus type signing. I remember as he signed being emailed a clip of him scoring a peach of a volley for morocco, which had me well excited. alas it all petered out in the end and for that I agree with those that were less bothered when he left. I remember one of the few 'positives' of the 4-0 scottish cup final drubbing against the huns, was the reasoning for his tantrum on the sideline when he booted the ball into the dugout. He said afterwards in his apology something like he was hurting to see Rangers beat us that way and he wasn't given the chance to help change it. if only we had that attitude in our team now! (or indeed if Hicham had shown that fight his whole dons career) RIP.
  22. To be fair, we need players that are gonna battle now to get us out of this sh1t that we're in, and Paton doesn't strike me as the knuckle down and give 110% type of player. I don't think he even looks in shape. add that to his facebook embarrassment and I'm not too fussed if it means we get someone else in the january sales. MM was pretty clear what he thought about Paton's role in St Mirren's 90th winning goal which would have been our only point in the last 6 games! presumably Paton has not won favour back since then.
  23. Pawlett and Fyvie is fair enough. but do you really beleive considine is one of the most talented "youngsters" at the club? or did you just name him because he was injured he's 23 and has been playing in the first team for about 5 years!
