  3. Just got Vampire Weekend's album (linky linky)
  4. "Alegranza!" by El Guincho. Vaguely like Panda Bear, but in Spanish
  5. The Billboard chart would like to disagree with you. I'd suggest that having every one of their studio albums reach the top 100 (including 4 albums reaching at least number 3) is pretty sufficient to qualify as "making it big" in America. As for the Arctic Monkey, my take is that although they don't do anything revolutionary, they do it very well. But you're right, they'll probably be gone in the next few years.

  7. Currently having a second listen to "Diary of an Afro Warrior" by Benga. Quite an interesting album. Wasn't sure quite what to expect from it but I liked both the Burial albums so I thought I'd give it a whirl.
  8. Illicit Still. Not quite as barmaidsva as it used to be but still nae bad.
  9. I thought he was walking a bit gingerly for a few minutes before he went off - I said to my mate that I thought Smith was coming off as soon as we saw Aluko getting ready despite (misplaced) wishful thinking at the time that it would be de Visscher getting hooked.
  10. I didn't think he was terrible, but he gave the ball away far too much for my liking. Certainly the worst performer in the team yesterday in my opinion, but that's more because everyone else was playing so well.
  11. Unfortunately not an option right now but I need to think of something or I'll be listening to Dio by the end of the day
  12. Inspired by drunkenly playing Guitar Hero 3 until 4am, I've been listening to Iron Maiden all morning
  13. I agree there's a certain element of favouritism going on there - it's obvious that JC doesn't like Lovell. Lovell hasn't helped his cause by looking totally uninterested at the best of times though. Even on Wednesday, Mackie at least managed to get himself into situations where he had the opportunity to completely cock it up.
  14. My issue here isn't that Mackie was getting booed, it's that Lovell wasn't even though he was at least as bad as Mackie was on Wednesday. I don't like to see any of our players getting booed and it's not something I've ever found myself doing, but if you're going to be a boo boy at least be fair and abuse everyone who deserves it. Otherwise you're just a vindictive fucktard like the obnoxious shouty man who sits behind me.
  15. Fair point, yet people still persist in the hero worship of Lovell. If he's one of the team's best players I'll eat my own head.
  16. What's this thread got to do with Zander?
  17. He scored an absolute beauty against United at Pittodrie a few months back. I reckon he'd have more in the way of end product if any of the rest of the team moved and looked like they actually wanted the ball when we attack.
  18. Presumably because we were losing at the time and the attack had been completely impotent up until that point? Not that it got any better once he came on mind you, but you can hardly criticise the manager for having Lovell, Smith, Mackie and Maguire all on the pitch in an attempt to get back into the game.
  19. I'm going and cannot wait! Missed Athens and Madrid because I was working over in Canada at the time so there's no way I'm missing out this time
  20. My money is on Langfield being behind this particular practical joke
  21. I'd take that. Game yesterday was terrible, but I thought Miller was excellent again and deserved his MotM. Langfield made some very good saves but his kicking got us into a fair bit of trouble.
