Aye both good shouts but if im honest, I would even take Heather Mills instead of Esson.
-
I would rather see some young player plucked from the Scottish lower leagues given a chance at Pittodrie instead of Esson returning.
As some have already said, if these are the signings we can look forward to then I firmly believe they will have a struggle on their hands when it comes to ST renewal.
-
It's the lack of any scouting system that baffles me.
Baffles me too mate
-
When you thought things couldn't get any worse after Saturday, we are then linked with Esson.
The thought of me helping to pay his wages pisses me off.
-
No real shocking revelation there, been nailed on that Miller and Nicholson would be off. Nicholson in particular has been trying to play it by saying that he hasn't mad up his mind etc. He has been offski all season and has been playing as if in he was in the shop window, if he came out and just said then I would actually have a bit of respect for him.
What I would love to see in the last few games of league would be us playing a team with players that are definitely going to be here next season. Get Touzani and A.Nother in midfield, play JDV and give Zander the captaincy.
-
I have to ask questions and I will find answers.
Q1. Do I keep Seve as captain
This for me will be one of the biggest questions raised in the fallout of this debacle.
Many fans have appalled by his failure to perform for the majority of the season yet he is continually selected. What makes it even more galling is that when he was dropped for a couple of games we actually won a few games, 2 back to back for one of the only times this season. He was brought back, team was rearranged and we were defeated yet Seve wasn't the scapegoat. He then kept his place in the team whiles others were lambasted/dropped by the manager.
Im not going to call for JC's head but I await his response to this match, his next team selection will give us at least some answers.

3 changes from midweek:
Soutar, Foster, Mair, Considine, Maybury, Nicholson, Aluko, Maguire, Miller, Mackie, Severin.
Thats a fairly attacking line up.
-
Paramount wandering around in his luminous jumper ?
-
Im glad the boy scored on Wednesday after hearing the drivel some tinks were shouting out on Saturday.
2 blokes a few rows in front of me in the Lower RDS were giving him pelters when he was warming up during the game.
-
Duff is a Dandy through and through, he wouldnt be cheering on Celtic.
Maguire on other hand........... lets just say nothing would surprise me
-
Portishead that night in Edinburgh so its going to be a fine day
-
If he wants to go then off you trot Barry.
The club should not push the boat out for him as he has no resale value. Im sure there are capable players who can come into the club and do a job.
-
Soutar - 5 - Nothing to do but kicking was atrocious.
Maybury - 6 - Did ok, one or two dodgy moments though.
Diamond - 6 - Struggled against the big black guy in the air, never looked in trouble though.
Considine - 6 - Steady enough, never under much pressure.
Foster - 4 - Nothing much to do defensively but terrible going forward, distribution was as bad as I've seen from an Aberdeen player.
Nicholson - 6 - Didn't do anything at all wide right in the first half, looked better in the second through the middle and scored a good goal.
Touzani - 6 - Did ok, but the game didn't really require a holding midfielder. Won a fair few tackles.
Severin - 6 - Lost possession a bit too much with slack passes but Gretna's midfield wasn't up to much and he was never really challenged.
De Visscher - 5 - Didn't have a good game, distribution was crap, I've seen the wind blow the ball further than he can kick it.
Miller - 6 - Didn't really get involved in the game too much, came deep far too often and was prone to falling over quite a lot. Lucky the keeper conceded the penalty as he was going nowhere.
Maguire - 5 - He was awful, and not even a goal could mask that. Seemed to be geniunely terrified of being tackled so jumped out of the way quite a lot, or in some cases, didn't bother going for the ball at all.
Subs:
Aluko - 6 - No idea why he wasn't on from the start, ideal game for him, always looked dangerous on the ball, although did tend to give the ball away a bit too much.
Lovell - 6 - Got into some fantastic positions, some of which went unnoticed by our midfield. Probably should have scored at least once, but it was more bad luck than anything that prevented him from doing so. Definitely got more stuck in than Maguire. Good work to set up Nicholson's goal.
McNamara - 5 - Didn't do much other than give the ball away whenever he got it.
That for me is the most accurate report/ratings of the game I have read so far.
I read some of the comments of afc chat and its a joke.
-
I thought he was terrible yesterday until he scored. He's capable of winning matches, but tends to be a passenger while he's not scoring or assisting.
Each to their own but you must have been watching a different game to me, he was far from terrible.
-
Well lets be fair Robo, they have more chance of the treble than the Scousres have
-
Great news.
Last season they were up here they won the treble, hopefully history repeats itself.
-
Charlie Allen and Andrew Moir are so shite at journalism.........They write for the Evening Express
-
Here we go again, lets concern ourselves with the opposition instead of looking to play to our strenghts.
As has already been said kick the little turn coat fucker really hard early doors and see if he's got the sotmach for it
For turning his back on his country I hope the little fucking lesbian gets fucked over big time.

Looks like the cover of the EE online today has the S-Pieman (who thought that up? ) going undercover to break the ban.
He must think he's so clever!
What did he do, take off his fat suit ?
-
i dont beleive all refs are pro OF but Willie Young once said on radio scotland that refs had favoured the home side at Ibrox or Park heed for fear of fans back lash.
Thing is, same happens in every single major league in europe if not the world.
The likes of Man United/Liverpool/Barca/Madrid/Milan/Juve/Munich etc etc etc will always see the refs give them more favourable decisions on their home patch.
-
Couldn't agree more.
Having said that thinking more and more that it may have a lot to do with his dodgy knee and just isn't fit since he hardly ever trains nowadays.
Maybe my Seve bashing for being lazy and uninterested has something behind it or maybe just wishful thinking and he is a lazy slug!!
Aye, declares himself fit on the Friday usually.
Mind you, if you know the manager is going to pick you no matter what then if your of that mindset then there is no need to bust a gut.
Anyone remember how we got on without him earlier in the season ?
Actually just checked:
We beat Hibs and Killie with him on the bench, he came into the 1st team we were humped 3-0 by Motherwell
-
we cant dump seve, his long throw ins are menacing
He's good to have around the place
-
Scott Severin (Wanted as bummed up regularly and is JC's captain)
That for me more than anything is my main problem with the club at the moment. Watching Seve and it comes across that he couldnt give a rats arse what happens.
Maybe someone with an encyclopaedic knowledge of our results this season can help but how did we do when he was dropped earlier in the season ?
What are you listening to?
