Almost finished Sean Connery - "Being a Scot". Its quite a read, and very in depth. There's not much autobiographical content, but a whole heap about Scotland (history, royalty, sport, comedians, architecture, art, films etc...). He's thrown his heart and soul into it, and its really rather good.

The same Jimmy Nicholl who said Maguire was the best youngster he'd ever worked with.

Possibly not but the decision appeared to be out with Calderwood's control. I'm sure he'd have loved to have kept Anderson, Hart and Clark.

Darren and Lee are very inexperienced managers. If either is going to become manager of Aberdeen, I'd prefer it to be later in their careers. Somebody with experience and a proven track record working on a limited budget would do for me. Calderwood is going nowhere anyway, for just now...

I'd agree with most of that. He's playing like he's guaranteed a start at the moment. The problem is that Mackie/Bebo/Wright are not great but benching Miller could be the kick up the backside he needs. We also have the option of Aluko up front, with Mulgrew at left midfield.
