it's not very often fans get the chance to go to a European destination like Madrid, so they tend to make the additional effort and fork out the additional expense when the opportunity arises, not jsut for the football, but the experience.

takes me 4 hours each way to watch a dismal dons performance at a minimal cost of 40 quid (not including ticket) and an almost entire day away from my family, but apparently that makes me a glory hunter rather than a fan.

I missed it, Iberia wanted 370 quid to get me to Heathrow (business class was only option) or wiat until sunday - wife would not be happy with that, so ended up getting a seat on one of the charters to aberdeen, hiring a car to go back to Glasgow to pick up the car and then drive back to Inverness.  Rough is not the word.  Got in the door at 0315.  A full 17 hours after I left the hotel!!!

used to speak to Eric Deloumeaux when he played for us, and apparently Leon Mike was consistently the best player during training, but come 3pm on a Saturday, couldn't get round the fact the world was not flat let alone another player.

i fly back from houston on the 27th, leave for madrid on the 28th, back from madrid on the 30th, then off to Dubai on the 12th for 2 nights.
