I agree re Jensen but don't know whether Gyamfi or Frame are any good so wouldn't put either into the poor bracket just yet. I also think that not adding legs to our midfield was a glaring omission in this window.
-
That would be an entirely different reel as they weren't deemed to be relevant for inclusion in a greatest goals compilation.

I read somewhere that the Boyd to Villa deal was concluded on Sunday but there is additional work that requires to be done because he is under 18. He will be going to train with Villa.
-
He is a stubborn man and it will be his undoing
-
Despite my criticisms of the tactics we’ve actually played quite well with some decent performances.

I am struggling to understand why we’re again using the tried and failed 4-2-3-1 against this mob particularly when they’ll be looking to avenge the cup final. Has he forgotten the number of spankings we received playing this formation against them last season or is he just stubborn and unflexible?

Playing a centre midfield 2 against Hearts was never going to work and it’s mildly confusing as to why JT thought that it would. I assume that he expected the wingers to do a lot of tracking back and that was sadly lacking with Keskinen looking off it and the team lacking match fitness in general. Allied to that was our lack of legs in the middle so, in the first half in particular the gap between our middle 2 and front 4 was huge at times. I didn't think that collectively our central midfielders were good enough last season to play in JT’s system, particularly against decent teams, and I can’t see how they’ll be good enough this year.

Scottish Cup final: Aberdeen v Celtic - 24/05

I am getting on but not quite your vintage Al ( I was 2 in 1970) I was a ball boy at the 1982 Final and had a great pitch side view. (Depending the highlights angle i can be seen right behind Simmie when he takes the throw in in the lead up to the 3rd goal) I was at the 1983,1984,1986 and 1990 finals. Great times. -
I was in Madrid and Munich, great trips and great memories. RIP Jimmy

I’m not sure we can blame any of last night’s goals on zonal marking but I agree with your point.
-
I don't think it is still on the go Al
-
I don’t see him ever being good enough tbh

I assumed the poster was suffering an episode and didn't want involved. -
He's not old enough

First half we were relentless, real top notch pressing play just lacking goals. Second half, for whatever reason, we lost that high tempo intensity but were still fully in control of the match. One of the most promising aspects for me today was the strength of the bench and I'm sure that with match fitness we will see the squad improving week by week as there is a lot better to come from this team and with the return of Clarkson and Polvara it will become a real question of who we leave out.

I cant say that I agree Orlando there's no in our squad. If we sign this boy and he gets injured we're in exactly the same position we are in right now. At the bare minimum we, we need another winger imo. Our squad was threadbare when we played St Johnstone and I don't see the signing of a midfielder who looks really good but has been out injured for a long spell and a highly rated winger completely solves that as some of our young lads such as Bavidge look well off it from what I've seen of them.
-
We need to give Milne an opportunity to show he can play in a position or get rid of him as our coaching staff don't seem to know what his best position is supposed to be and I cant see the point in keeping him.
-
Both great players on their day but could either hold a candle to Haraldur Ingolfsson?
-
A good honest player who always gave his all. What more can you ask for, good luck son.
-
At the risk of having been whooshed, I'll bite. How did Xavi and Iniesta get voted the best midfielder in the Serie A?
-
Fuck me, no wonder you got sacked from your job with the Samaritans
-
Unfortunately I've not been seeing anything that gives me any confidence that we are capable of either A. Taking anything from this match or B. Going on any sort of sustained winning run. I hope that I'm proved wrong on both counts.

Not that it particularly matters to me because I couldn't give two hoots where any of our managers allegiances lie as long as they do a decent job but Warnock has been spotted many times at Morton over the years and is a member of The Morton Community trust.
