  1. I'm jealous. we're off to see Seasick Steve in a few weeks.
  2. Getting some psychedelic calypso vibes courtesy of Super Furry Animals- northern lights
  3. this is getting beyond a joke! It'll be like that 6-5 game we won in motherwell at this rate- a coronary beckons. I also tend to severely doubt we will win this game at this rate.
  4. Thank fuck- 3-2. get yer fingers out folks and play some bloody fitba!!
  5. I'll ignore Paul 'worst £million spent ever' Bernard, but i reckon booth, even when he came back for that one(?) season, contributed far more than smith has. Even on his return Booth got what, 10 goals wasn't it over about 10-15 games or so? It's a bit lost in the murk of my memory I'm afraid.
  6. Dr allbran- it's my life To bring it down a notch. Thanks TenementFunster for making me think about clare grogan
  7. That's one band i've never really got into. They've had some songs that i've quite liked, and i even bought a couple of albums ages ago, but just never really took to them. But then, i never reallly dug the pixies until a few years ago, when it just suddenly clicked and i bought every album except tromp de le monde. Which i must try to remember and pick up some time. But theres about 50 years worth of music i have to check out yet, so i never seem to remember at the right time.
  8. I also bought 'every good boy deserves fudge' at the same time. Only had one quick skim through it so far, but as with so many bands their earliest stuff is the my favourite so far. I really love 'touch me i'm sick' and the other frazzled stuff from earlier on. Surely this is what listening to music while drowning in a swamp would sound like!
  9. Queens of the stone age - the lost art of keeping a secret
  10. Mudhoney- Superfuzz Bigmuff EP. Currently listening to In & out of grace. Recently bought it on CD after stupidly selling my vinyl copy on ebay. Quelle un grand Twat! Loving reliving my youth.
  11. Oh man, don't remind me! See also mcnaughton being sent off for a handball (- and penalty given?) when he clearly caught it on his chest. Yesterday's refereeing display was very poor though- and they wonder why the rest of us think they are a joke? The rest of the world must laugh when they see how bad they are. Still, it makes me smile every time the gruesome twosome are in europe and seem baffled by not getting a foul for every 50/50 ball, swandive by their players etc ad nauseum........
  12. Voted for Kerr, he was terrible IMO. However, Smith was also abject and truly shocking and should have been hooked, but if you did that then more than half the team would have been taken off the pitch. Langfield gave me a couple of severe heart attack moments too. Personally, it'd have been easier for this poll to say who actually got pass marks for this game, cos there wouldn't have been many. Shocking performance against possibly the shittest hun team i have ever witnessed. AND OI! Jimmy, you don't need to settle for a draw 20+ mins before the end of the game, you twat. Especially not against a poor rangers team who might have been beaten if you'd had the balls to play for a win. That is of course assuming our team could string more than a couple of passes together. What the hell do you lot actually do in pre-season? It's certainly not practice passing, or get overly fit by the looks of it. I honestly expect to get an ulcer supporting the dons one day soon. It's either that, or keel over at pittodrie after one heart-stopping error from langfield too many.
  13. That was indeed a cracking bit of business! Shame we later lost out so much by selling deano on for £400k, then the next time he gets punted on for £1.5m or whatever it was with no sell on clause...
  14. I knew i shouldn't read this thread. Every time liverpool are on the box, i rant about him the same as many others on this thread. Same with when you used to see aitken. To my mind they are responsible for some of the worst times i have ever witnessed at pittodrie. Admittedly i only started getting taken during fergies era, but miller has only been surpassed by patterson for utter shame and humiliation, along with some of the old firm games under ebbe. I've tried hard to forget about his era, and purge some of the nightmares, but this thread is bringing some of the bad memories back.....
  15. Can't argue with the one that kowalski pasted in. Seems a reasonable assessment.
  16. That *would* make much more sense, I was reading it as goals per game! And Stoney even explicitly stated games per goal too, D'oh!
  17. Stoney where did you get that list? It looks like mathematical gibberish to me! I know statistics can be used to prove anything, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but from this list eoin jess played MORE games than billy dodds and scored LESS goals, but has a GPG twice as much? Someone somewhere can't work a calculator at all! Surely Jess's 107 goals over 565 games equals a GPG of 0.19 (107 goals/565 games), while Dodds was 192 goals over 547 games which would be 0.35 i.e. almost twice as prolific as Eoin (who i still rate more highly BTW). Further proof that statistics are akin to lies, damn lies and statistics.
  18. True, this is what happens when i am so locked on to the aberdeen part of the story. Point taken.
  19. I think Billy dodds must have been on the sauce before sending in his score predictions bittie on bbc sport, and i quote 'Aberdeen always beat Inverness, they just seem to have a jinx over their closest SPL rivals.' Closest in which way billy? Performance wise? I'm no doubt wrong, but I don't remember that we've finished in their lower half of the table since they joined the spl. Geographically? There's a 100 mile road trip up to them, or 60odd to dundee united- you did play for two of these three clubs once upon a time. Jeez-oh min. He's getting as bad as the press for spouting bullshit. Aye billy, and we all expect to win european trophies these days too
  20. Funniest thing i've read for a while. On topic, i think these photos just prove what we've all thought, especially with his recent attempted defence of the 5% non-old firm tax the evil empire are trying to levy. Cnuts.
  21. three pre-season games played, and zero goals scored- this is starting to worry me- we can't score against dundee and peterheid? I know it's only a pre-season friendly, but come on guys, do try a wee bit, eh?
  22. I take it you're one of the flag-wavers ? It seems pretty much on the touchline. Nice vid though, great to see zander stirring it up and all the hacked off huns
  23. I thought seve was immense last night, if he'd been playing like that at the start of the season I reckon we'd have had third place sewn up. Duff's come on to a decent game recently when he's been played further forward too IMO.
