  1. Just back, good performance today, rode our lack a couple of times, but we could have scored more aswell.

Probably the best performance ever from our captain in front of watching Scotland boss, he was my m.o.t.m, but not far behind was the excellent Dom Ball after a shaky start. make no mistake, with Logan,McKenna & Hoban out this was a huge win.

G.M.S  anonymous again, didnt look interested tbh!

Thought Lowe was back to how we know he can play. Ref let them off with some real heavy challenges, a few of them eventually booked :

  2. Awful game, no positives to take from yesterday.  G.M.S looking like he doesn't want to be here, McGinn totally anonymous .  No spark to Shinnie's game either, looks like he is off, just wondering if he is following Jack to the darkside hence his reluctance to tell us his move.

Real shame for Hoban yesterday, happened right in front of us in the mainer & the lad was screaming in pain, doubting very much we will see him in a Dons shirt again ( or even in any shirt), guy looks a class act.

Slack passing from Devlin yesterday, but to be fair he has been out for a while, not yet up to speed.

Surprised D.M waited so long to make subs (or am i ) ?  We look disjointed as a team, slow getting forward, slow build up play & poor passing, far too many backward/sideways passes.  We should have brought on some pace up top with Anderson & Wright (oh! hold on).

Absolutely stupid challenge from Cosgrove for their penalty, what was he thinking ?  BalloonD'Or more like :

Luckily all the teams just below us got beat or drew , so no real damage done, but no way are we finishing runners up this season .

  3. Comfortable in the end, but wasn't so till we scored . Good to see Niall doing well when he came on, real game changer. Dobbie's goal for them was a thing of beauty & we are all fearing the worst at that point.

Good to see big Andy C scoring that 2nd .

Poor crowd considering the nice weather (mind you, got baltic later on ).  Liking the look of Tommy Hoban at the back & good to see Devlin come back in.  Tricky tie out the way, another home tie please.

  4. How the sales figures for this game? Gutted to miss it on REDTV.

Terrible tbh !  left it late getting my ticket , yesterday, & asked how many sold. Guy behind the counter says we have sold around 9k, with Queens taking around 300-500.  Probably looking at a total crowd of under 10,000. ???

  5. Saw the good and the bad of James Wilson on Saturday. Shows flashes of lightning pace and created a couple of chances. One for himself and one for someone else. Both of which were missed. Then he missed a really good chance to kill it off at the death. I'd be all for signing him up if he's willing to take a 90% wage cut.

It was a really decent game and on another day we'd have won 5-1. Thoroughly impressed with Hoban at CB.

Hoban was a class act at ch, thing is, where does he fit in when Devlin & McKenna are fit ?  Dont know if a perm. deal for Hoban is possible, but if it was.

  6. Heard about this Barker rumour first thing this morning, got to say i dont really remember him at Easter Rd.  Also heard Wilson was going back, & Wright & Anderson were going out on loan, and i wouldnt be surprised if big Scott goes. Got a feeling , could be a very busy night tonight at Pittodrie :dunno:

  7. Some excellent predictions here lads (dont give up your day jobs), the longer this game went on still 1 0, there was always the chance.

Still remember the game at Ochilview, horrible day & pitch was like a ploughed field :frown: Seem to remember struggling to even get a pint, pre match, which made the whole day worse.

Would i be right in saying Stenny have an artificial surface now ?

  8. Id argue that Shinnie makes a cunt of things equally as frequently. Ball is a better passer, better in the air and a bit better with his weaker foot than Shinnie. Just remember to yourself what happens when Shinnie finds himself in an advanced position. Generally results in a brain fart as he hasn't a clue what to  next....

But Shinnie is "one of our own" so he gets away with his aberrations. I agree Ball is god awful at right back....that memory seems to be what sticks in folks' memories. At defensive midfield he is absolutely solid and has been one of our most consistently good players this season....never flashy just gets on with doing the job he is paid to do

Spot on TC,  Ball is a lot better than some folk are making out, he is better suited to the middle of the park, as was apparent after the Motherwell semi, but with his physique, he adds real strength to our team.  Great attitude to boot.
