brownie
Im glad the boy scored on Wednesday after hearing the drivel some tinks were shouting out on Saturday. 2 blokes a few rows in front of me in the Lower RDS were giving him pelters when he was warming up during the game. It makes you wonder why some folk go to matches if they are taking out on players who are warming up.
Superstar Tradesman
He does!! That was his 51st for Aberdeen last night. And was his 34th under Calderwood in 96 starts and 29 sub appearences. I take his goal tally with a pinch of salt due largely to the fact he's worked under some shite managers. Nobody was banging them in under Pele and didn't we go something crazy like - 1000 minutes without scoring under Ebbe's term? If you look over his time under JC it's not been too bad and he's been top scorer at the club once (possibly twice?) over the course of a season..... so what does that make the rest of squad out to be? TENEMENTFUNSTER
Mackie was used very often as a winger under Ebbe and as you say, that period under Pele was a general setting of the bar in terms of low points.
Superstar Tradesman
Ebbe also used him as a lone striker when Stavrum was out injured. All this whilst he was about 17 and the manager had been in the paper the week before saying he was the new Micheal Owen. Not much pressure to score then. Proper blast from the past stuff

King Jimmy wouldn't have missed out on such a signing. Not to a Highland League team anyway.
